Do you do any woodworking? I made a technique breakthrough when I started thinking about "grain" and "low angle block plains." I am not saying anyone should necessarily lay the blade as parallel to the skin as possible! However, playing at the extreme low angle and really paying attention to EVERYTHING while I was there really shined some light into the darker corners of my technique. It required some insanely slow strokes as I became even more aware of facial contours that I only thought I understood before! After awhile, I sped back up but shaved way better. I sometimes make too many passes, but it is really just OCD driving touchups. We sometimes call this "chasing the baby." I was going to link to some TSD discussions of chasing the baby, but realized you might be better of focusing for now. You've got a good kit, so I'll just echo the rally cry of "technique, technique, technique." You'll get there! ALSO... you know what this is, right?
Technique takes time to develop. I am down to two passes and touch ups. A good prep routine can't be stressed enough either. Just a little extra time softening the beard can make a world of difference.
