Dove Men's Face Wash TOBS Lavender Shaving Cream Parker Black Badger Gillette Super Speed '47 Shark Super Stainless (2) CWR Thayers Cucumber WH Aqua Velva Ice Blue Very nice shave today with the TOBS Lavender Shaving Cream. The Parker Black badger brush face lathered it easily. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette Super Speed with the Shark Super Stainless blade left me near BBS. A cold water rinse followed by Thayers Cucumber WH and Aqua Velva Ice Blue after shave was the perfect finish. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed.
Sunday: Sorry again for not showing any pics - I'm on the laptop again at a shopping mall! Neutrogena Men Facial Wash #6 Horsehair Super Speed/Permasharp day 7 Stirling Black Ice SS Thayers Witch Hazel Mennen Skin Bracer AS Man, what a great shave although it was a bit rushed - the Stirling soaps get a lot of love because they're fantastic. This Black Ice has a nice licorice scent which I really enjoy, and such rich lather. I'd say the menthol effect is about the same as Proraso Green, and the skincare is brilliant. It leaves my face feeling so cool and soothed as well as protected from dryness or razor burn. The witch hazel and Skin Bracer were a very nice finishing touch.

Sunday: hot shower w/Yardley English Lavender bar soap Somersets PSO Gillette Slim (9) 2+ passes Gillette 7 O'Clock Super Platinum black (1) VDH Deluxe boar Savon Du Midi Vetyver Shaving Soap (face lathered) Thayer's Lavender alum (cut from yesterday) Canoe EDT spash (sample) First time using the 7 O'Clock black and my first impression is that this blade has a very keen edge. In fact, I wondered mid-shave if maybe I should've set my Slim at something less than full throttle. I'll be anxious to try this blade in a few other razors and compare results. Can't say enough good things about the Savon Du Midi soap. I picked this $11 puck up on sale for $7 and it's nothing less than a great soap. It lathers up to a creamy butter consistency with just a few easy swirls and has a nice cushion with plenty of glide. The scent is mild but lasts for the entire shave and then the remnants rinse clean and easy both from your face and your gear. It's one of my favorites and I highly recommend it. 5/8 Puma Stirling Cool homemade brush Nice shave this morning. I enjoyed the Stirling Cool, a nice refreshing shave. Have a good one.
SUNDAY TSD Week; The Final Day A very nice shave his morning—one of the few Sunday mornings I've had off in a while! A mentholated shave—although I'm not sure I'll mix the M-Bomb again with the Cella. I found I prefer the Cella as it; no chill needed. A DFS all the way around. A blessed Sunday to you all !

The lather from the MITA wasn't perfect, but it was more then good enough for a DFS with zero irritation or bite from the alum. Can't think of anything this shave was missing!
Sunday Prep: CeraVe facial cleanser Soap: Prairie Creations Tallow & Lanolin, unscented Brush: HIS brush Razor: iKon ShaveCraft Blade: Gillette SharpEdge (yellow pack) After: Cold rinse, Prairie Creations Shea butter aftershave balm Good lather from the Prairie Creations soap: thick, creamy, and slick. My face felt good afterward, presumably from the lanolin. The aftershave balm is a thick cream that went on smoothly and left me feeling nicely moisturized. Pleasant, smooth shave after taking a day off.

Lumberjack Post: Monster Alum Block Aftershave: Myrsol Agua Balsámica Had to get up early this morning and too dreary eyed to take a picture. This morning tried a sample of "Lumberjack" from the Beer Soap brewing Company and will test couple of other samples later on this week before making a final assessment. Really like the aroma of this one and have read that it is quite the water hog, but I found it to use less water than MW and SS while using a Super Badger brush. My typical method is soak brush while showering then shake it 3 times before loading for 20 seconds in this case. I like lather on the thicker side and used two dabs from the scuttle dribble port to obtain the thickness that I like. Been two years since I used Adirondack Jack from MW but this Lumberjack reminds me of that soap.

3/2/2014 "Prototype Day" Merkur Progress Personna Lab Turned Wood Handle 24 TGN Premium Silvertip "Signature" Shave Stick "Lime" Aftershave Blash Ok so today I used 2 prototype products Im working on. I have to be honest the lather on the brush is a bit deceptive, this being a new product for me (the shave stick) I applied WAY too much to my face. It went on rather clear so I had a hard time judging how much i was applying. I ended up getting rid of a bunch of lather and was still left with this amount on the brush. I am sure if it were used properly there would not be this much lather. Anyway the shave was very good. The hardware across the board performed as well as i could, all quality and I love the home turned brush with the knot set rather deep. It is a great face lather brush. The software worked very well, I have a few tweaks to make to the stick but the Aftershave Blash I could see myself using daily for sure. All in all a nice Sunday AM shave. PS-Dont laugh at the deodorant stick applicator. My buddy works for Toms of Maine and he got their supplier to send me 6 samples for free! Actually it works rather well. If you use the narrow side you can do your mustache area very well, better than a round stick!
Ooooo....A wide shave stick (drool). I love shave sticks and make my own from my favorite soaps, but get annoyed some times with the small round sticks. With the smaller round sticks, it feels like I'm using a pencil eraser. The type of stick you're using here is wide and covers plenty of room quickly. I like it.
