    Frey's Day:

Prep: Hot shower, Neutrogena Deep Clean Gentle Scrub, TSD Jasmine Sambac Preshave Balm
    Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger
Soap: Ginger's Garden Grass Stain Menthol Snow
    Razor: Merkur 41c 1904 OC
    Blade: Bic Chrome Platinum (4)
    Passes: WTG, ATG (9, 10)
Post: Cold water splash, Dickinson's WH, Nivea Energy ASB
Cologne: The Third Man by Caron

I went with a different soap today to see if the lather would stand up any better with the preshave balm, without much success. Additionally, I managed that elusive feat of finding the exact moment when a blade goes from 'cutting' to 'scraping' across my face (partway through the ATG pass); it's as much fun as it sounds.A couple of weepers and a little irritation to show for the dying blade, with an otherwise reasonably fine shave.

Yeah, Jeff, this is a new one. It's a pretty mellow Jasmine smell. Not real strong, but it is refreshing.
I don't know what I did different, but the first time I tried it I added too much water or something and had trouble getting a good lather. I did use a new brush I wasn't familiar with.

Yesterday, I let my regular brush soak in a little water, light shake, a couple swirls and BOOM. Lather explosion. I don't know what I did, but I will try to replicate it again tonight and with my other soaps. This was the fastest I have ever gotten a thick lather ever. And it was thick too.

The new soap is nice and slick. Rod said he would probably start next week getting it ready in full size for sale.

Hope all is well Jeff, take care.
    Tad

By the way, I got a puck of the Black Ice I still need to try. I know I love the Black Ice WHAS. I'm turning into a menthol junkie. Heck, I need to try something else besides Stirling products, but I have enough to last a year. I have a full size Glacial, a MITA i need to try, Scots pine sheep to try, and the black ice. Plus 8 sample size pucks to use up.

So, yeah, it may be awhile before I try something else. Then Rod always has something cool on sale and I look for a reason to get it.
    Anyway later.

Tad, I have three Stirling soaps which I'm in love with. They're the Black Ice, MITA, and Glacial. I can't believe how awesome they are. :)
