*DONE* The "I Can't Believe I Bought Out Three Stores" PIF

Hi! My name's Rich. Long-time watcher, first-time PIF-er.

This is a PIF for Gaia Face Scrub and Shave Cream. I wanted to try it for the longest time, but, at $10 per tube, I thought it was a little pricey. When the one local chain that sold it decided to drop it, I bought out all three local stores at $3 per tube.

Gaia claims to be all natural, although I haven't verified that claim. I think it smells like lemon grass. The cream bowl-lathers well, but if you have trouble with it, it works great with soaps as a superlather. The scrub is my favorite ever, but I have sensitive skin, so I've stopped using scrubs.

This PIF is open to all members in CONUS. There will be four winners. All four will receive a tube of the scrub and the cream. The first-place winner will also receive a few odds and ends I've picked up lately that just didn't work for me. As an added incentive, the first and second-place winners will receive . . . hold your breath . . . wine corks from my alma mater in the shape of a football and a helmet! (Go Herd!)

The PIF will end on March 29. I'm not sure how I'll choose the winners . . . drawing the names from a hat, using the website others have mentioned, or, since Spring is approaching, finding a local "Cow Pie Bingo" and letting the cows choose.

I'm in! I was prepping for a shave sabbatical on another site so bought up a ton of de blades for some silly reason and now I'm sending them out to people that want to try them out!

Hmm, how bad are my ADs? I've been shaving for around two months and I've acquired four razors, 8 soaps/creams & tried about 6 different blades.

Kicked in in January, now have 5 full size pucks and 8 samples of Stirling Soaps. 3 bottles of WHAS (all clearance is my excuse).

I'm in. My disorder went into overdrive this month with my first RazoRock purchase. I bought the Classic, which has lead to the immediate order of three more soaps.

 

I haven't gone overboard till now. But then, I am pretty new to the wet shaving world - started this year!

My SE RAD kicked in after I had completed my DE collection....funny how that is...one is never truly satisfied...

 

I started with DE's and went crazy buying every vintage Gillette and Krona I could find plus around 600 Astra blades plus around 300 others. Then I bought every SE model I could find. Then I discovered straight razors and have bought around 130 so. Not to mention all the soaps and creams and on and on. I may have reached a plateau. I've been selling some DE stuff today and giving away blades and soaps and creams to local wet shaver newbies from work.

I started in mid February of this year and I now have 5- DE razors and 2- SE razors and 3-more DE , 1 SE & my first straight razor due to show up on Monday in my mail box. I also have ordered more blades and shave soap.

 

I am in. It started when I figured out how to restore old shaving brushes. There are several, in the drawer, waiting for spring (when I can work outdoors.)

I'm in. I just started DE shaving so I haven't really acquired much.

 

OK... I'm just getting started in the wet shaving thing, but here is where my AD started. I was in Chicago for a work conference and decided to stop at Merz Apothecary (Great store with a great selection as long as you know what you want). The moment I walked in I was overpowered with the odors. They were not unpleasant, but my whole reason for going there was to try and smell some of the creams and soaps to find something that I thought I would like. Well I couldn't smell anything so... I couldn't just walk away with nothing so I bought 2 soaps an aftershave and an alum block.

So count me in.
