A little background.. I reckon I have pottery shave gear AD. I have been fortunate to travel a great deal both in the U.S. and abroad and have always been interested and amazed at the geological differences of the areas I visited. The colors and textures in the pottery remind me of the varied colors and composition of landscapes from the Swiss Alps to the Grand Canyon and many other places in between. The pottery not only brings back fond memories, it is fun and functional. Nothing quite as comfortable than a scuttle of warm lather on a cold winter day.
If that were in my house, my jerk cat would figure out a way to break them all on purpose. She is like that. Looks good.
Not to get you to buy MORE scuttles...but this guy opened for his monthly orders today: http://www.rabfeatsofclay.com/ Ordered MY very first scuttle today
Rats! I had resolved to NOT buy a scuttle. I feel that resolve crumbling. <sigh> Gorgeous den, though!
I know a guy who can make a wonderfully soft house shoe from that cat. Perhaps you have two cats? PM me.
This thread touches on both my desire to get a scuttle, and my need to get a nook up on my bathroom wall. If you asked my wife a month ago if she would ever be competing with me for bathroom space she would have thought you were crazy. Absolutely beautiful collection you have there!
Thanks for all of the kind comments. I enjoy my pottery and the variety. I have a couple of custom brush scuttles being made. One is by a gentleman on Etsy whom I have purchased from in the past and the other is by a lady in West Texas. I'll post pics when they arrive.
