So I don't mean to sound like a moron, but how excactly does one apply and use polish effectively on razors? I'm looking at cleaning my Gillette's and the only polish I could find at Walmart is Brasso and Never-Dull. I chose the Never-Dull but I'm not sure..do I just rub the wadding all over the razor then rinse it off? Should I get a different polish that isn't infused in wadding?
Check out this link. It has pretty good instructions on cleaning. http://wiki.badgerandblade.com/Razor_cleaning_and_restoration
Go get Flitz and use a clean soft cloth. Safer than Brasso and MAAS. http://www.amazon.com/Flitz-LQ-04535-Plastic-Fiberglass/dp/B0000AXNJS/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1395799265&sr=8-5&keywords=flitz polish
I'm not one that requires a mirror finish, so I find Scrubbing Bubbles works well enough for me. It eats soap scum, disinfects, and will leave a nice shine. I use it to clean all my razors.
I like Flitz & Maas for nickle plated razors. Be careful polishing a gold or even silver plate razor because its easy to strip the finish if your too aggressive.
