They must sell well.

Wednesday, 3/26/14 Prep: Hot shower followed by homemade PSO Lather: Cella, bowl lathered with an Omega 10049 Razor: Edwin Jagger de89l with a Gillette Wilky Sword (3) Post: Cold water rinse and Speick ASL Three full passes plus touch up yielded a DFS, but this blade's about dead. The Speick saved the day.
Thursday Morning Shave Razor: Edwin Jagger DE8911 Blade: Rapira (3) Brush: Vie-Long Horse Hair Soap: Arko AS: Brut Original Awesome shave like yesterday's. When I received my first EJ DE8911, I just can't stop shaving with it. It has an astonishing structure, I forgot to use my other DE stuff like Rimei and Wilkinson. Maybe I can use them again sometime later Btw, I must press another Arko stick into this wooden case soon; not much Arko left in it.
Hard to beat the Bay Another superb shave with Coconut Bay soap and balm. I put a little hot water on the puck while I brushed my teeth and the scent bloomed nicely. I wet the tips of my HIS brush and the lather exploded off this monster and provided a slick cushion for my razor. I like how the SC101 makes a different sound from each side of the head, it's just a great performer for me. I used the balm before my ATG pass, and all was smooth and comfortable. BBS on my cheeks, DFS on my neck with no burn or weepers. Krampert's topped it off in style. I used Tabac hair cream for the first time today, and so far I'm impressed. The scent is very strong at first, but fades quickly. It provides a light hold, and does not leave my hair crunchy. I only used a little, but I could see that if I used a lot, I could easily get a slicked back look.
Gillette LC New Bulldog Gillette 7OC Indian Green (3) Oscar11 Purple Omega Tet-a-Tet SC & ASB A very nice shave despite dropping my brush in the sink between passes.
Thor's Day: Prep: Hot shower, Healthy Accents Daily Renewal cleanser, TSD Jasmine Sambac Preshave balm Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger) Soap: Ginger's Garden Oakmoss Razor: Merkur 41c 1904 OC Blade: Bic Chrome Platinum (3) Passes: WTG, XTG, ATG (5, 6, 7) Post: Cold water rinse, Dickinson's WH, Pinaud Clubman AS Cologne: Gigember Estragone by Dr. Vranjes I skipped shaving yesterday merely because I wanted to have more stubble to enjoy removing; how many of us would have said that before finding wet shaving? This setup was, again, nearly ideal for me, producing BBS results with one weeper on my throat where it always is and some signs of mild irritation from a blade that's just starting to wear a bit. I hadn't reached for the Clubman in a while, so gave it a spin, though I'm not entirely sold on the interplay between its scent and the Gigember Estragone cologne.
Thursday Prep: Hot Shower-Stirling Bath Soap Soap: Tiki-Set Sail Razor: Gillette Slim Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (3) Brush: Whipped Dog Silvertip 22mmx48mm Aftershave: Grey Flannel WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angle for my beard a bit) Back to Tiki Set Sail today to compare it to the LASS and MdC. Still reserving judgment for a few more shaves. I finished up with Grey Flannel. Bob
Dove Men's Face Wash Van Der Hagen Deluxe Shaving Soap Frank Shaving Finest Badger Gillette NEW Voskhod Teflon Coated (3) CWR Thayers Cucumber WH FD Old Spice AS Frank Shaving finest badger does a great job face lathering the Van Der Hagen Deluxe shaving soap. I broke out the Gillette NEW for the third shave with the Voskhod Teflon Coated blade. They worked together for two passes and touch ups to give me a near BBS shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Cucumber WH and Family Dollar Old Spice after shave. It was a mighty fine shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
Thursday: L'Oreal Men Expert Facial Wash #6 Horsehair Super Speed/Rapira day 4 Stirling Margaritas in the Arctic SS Thayers Witch Hazel Mennen Skin Bracer AS Santos de Cartier EdT What a shave, what a shave - thanks to my dear friend Ryan I have this fantastic MITA soap which smells so nice and lathers so beautifully with a HELL of a menthol effect and awesome skincare. The witch hazel and the Mennen Skin Bracer made the end of this shave such a pleasure!

3/27/2014 Tech Week! Prep: Hot shower with L'Oreal Men Expert Facial Wash, home made PSO Razor: Gillette Travel Tech P2, Barbers Favorite straight razor Blade: Pol Silver Super Iridium (6) Brush: Ever Ready 500N synthetic Soap: The Body Shop Maca Root shave cream with 6 drops of TSD MBomb menthol additive After: Home made ASB, Aqua Velva classic cooling after shave Cologne: Gravity A wonderful 2 pass Darn Fine Shave + this morning. The Ever Ready 500N synthetic brush surprised me this morning. The synthetic hairs seem to be a little thicker than the hair on a young girls toy doll. It feels pretty soft on my hand, but after whipping up a nice thick lather I found out that it has great back bone and fair amount of scritch to it. This is definitely a hidden gem of a brush. I am going to really enjoy using it during Synthetic Brush Week next week. Have a blessed day!
