Tuesday: Neutrogena Men Facial Wash Large Horsehair Barbershop Super Speed/Sharp day 2 Egyptian Ingram Green SC 444 AS Balm Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS Santos de Cartier EdT Once again I threw plenty of menthol into this shave and I enjoyed it so much. The Egyptian Ingram cream in the white and green tube has the same nice minty scent as the original version with the same awesome lather, but the cooling sensation is definitely stronger. The 444 balm and the Aqua Velva are a great way to finish off a shave! (no photos again, sorry!)

Tuesday, April 8, 2014 Stirling Barbershop Stirling badger Gillette Tech Rapira Platinum Lux Old Spice This is day 14 in a row using the Barbershop soap. The lather just seems to get better and better every time. Loaded the damp/dry brush for about a minute then onto face lathering. I think I had enough lather for at least 4 passes, but only used 3 to get a DFS. This was the first day with the Rapira and Tech combo and I am impressed.
Ern Synergy Meta Nectar homemade brush Nice shave this morning, smooth and close. Mr. Ern made a pretty good razor. Have a good one.
Tuesday, April 8, 2014 Prep: Warm shower, Cetaphil Lotion Razor: EJ DE89 Head w/ Weber Classic Handle Blade: Personna Lab Blue (4) Cream: C.O. Bigelow Brush: Vie-Long Horse Hair 12705 Post: Witch Hazel, Cetaphil Lotion EDT: Canoe I have used my Semogue 830 almost exclusively since receiving it for Christmas. I decided, however, to pull out the Vie-Long today. I had forgot how nice a brush it is. I'll have to use it more regularly. It had no trouble at all whipping up a nice lather from the C.O. Bigelow and felt so good applying the lather to my face. Wonderful BBS shave! Have a great day!
SOTD April 7 Prep: hot shower Razor: Aristocrat TTO Open Comb Blade: Merkur (day 4) Brush: Vie-Long Soap: Proraso white Passes: 2 (WTG, XTG) Post: dove men hydrate+ The Aristocrat and Merkur might not be the right combo... I can get a DFS out of them, but I really don't like the tugging, especially on my neck. I'm not sure if it is the open comb Aristocrat, my technique with it or the Merkur, but I seem to find individual stray hairs and pull them out... I'll try a different blade tomorrow
Tuesday Prep: Hot Shower-Stirling Bath Soap Soap: Barbiere di Figaro-Mistero Razor: Gillette NEW SC Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (5) Brush: Whipped Dog Silvertip 22mmx48mm Aftershave: Grey Flannel WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angle for my beard a bit) 5th day back with the Gillette NEW Short Comb and a GSB. I just got some BDF Mistero made by Tcheon Fung Sing. Bullgoose was closing out the line and had the 200ml tubs for $5. They sold out instantly. I snagged two. This is a great croap! Nice manly scent with great cushion, and glide. It lathered very easily in my hard water. I finished with Grey Flannel. Bob
TUESDAY Back To Work Day & 'Single Edge Week,' Day 2 An early morning shave with a French-made soap that is becoming one of my favorites to use. A highly-enjoyable DFS done in 3-passes. I still wind up with a few rough patches after my straight razor shaves (unlike my DE shaves), but I'm getting better with my technique. Have a great Toozday, all
Dove Men's Face Wash TABAC Shaving Soap Frank Shaving Finest Badger Cadet TP-30 Astra Superior Platinum (3) CWR Dickinson's WH FD Old Spice AS Today's shave was another fine shave. The TABAC shaving soap face lathered easily with the Frank Shaving finest badger brush. I made two passes and some touch ups on my neck with the Cadet TP-30 and Astra Superior Platinum blade. It was near BBS. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Dickinson's WH and Family Dollar Old Spice after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Wonderful face freezing shave. My Stirling order came in yesterday and quickly went to work with one of the Glacial Spearmint pucks that came in. I added some Bay Rum and Lime EO's to the Glacial to make up my version of a Cuban Mojito in shave soap form. Definitely the eye opener that we come to expect from Glacial and the wonderful aroma of a Mojito. When I finish off this tub of Bay Rum based Mojito, next batch I will try actual light rum to the mix to see how that works but off the top of my head do not think it will really work out, but fun to experiment!
Fantastic head and face shave, I'm BBS and primed to look great all day. My first soap/AS combo was Williams and AV Ice Sport, so I have an affinity for this fragrance with less expensive hard soaps. For being so soft this Omega 599 is a face lathering champ. Have a good one!! EJ DE89 Omega 599 Palmolive Stick Gillette 7oc Platinum AV Ice Sport
Bengall 7/8" Illinois #127 SOC Boar Cella Floid Blue I started with my Dubl Duck, couldn't get comfortable with it at all. Might put it on the hone this week and give it one last shot before she goes up for sale. I may have found my blade niche unfortunately it's an expensive size lol.
So, Justin, BIGGER is better? Alternating between several size blades (5/8, 6/8 & up), I haven't reached a conclusive decision as to which size I prefer. The testing continues....
