A surprisingly good shave actually. The alarm didn't go off this morning and I almost reverted to a cartridge to try and make up lost time. Decided to give it a go with the DE and the 3rd shave with the Feather Blade which had the potential to go horribly wrong. My first shave with the Feather started was less than ideal to say the least - several weepers and a bit if irritation. The 2nd shave was much better and I was pleased with the results today. After about a month into it, this is getting easier.
I've used a Feather for the third time as well, yesterday. No bloodletting with either three shaves, but I'm not feeling any dulling of this blade. So far, I like them. Glad you had a good shave today!
Good job! Not a fan of rushed shaves but they happen. Usually when im running short on time I do a nice two pass.
^^^That^^^ is what I was expecting when I read the title; glad it turned out well for you, ekf1204. Feathers are not very forgiving, but they are one of my favorite blades.
I started out with feather blades. They force you to learn correct technique. Feathers should not be feared. They feel much smoother after you have been using them for a month or so.
Still making my way through a blade sampler. I think the issue I had with the first shave had more to do with technique. Not sure what blade is next up.
The feathers are nice. I was a little iffy on them at first as I heard they were very agressive but I dont think so. I learned not to push them past 3 shaves though (for me atleast). I've had really good luck with Astra's as well.
I get awesome results when I put a Feather blade in my Schick Krona. I'm glad you didn't hurt yourself with that shave.
Some ppl say that the second shave with a feather blade is better then the first. I didn't notice. But I was able to tell when it was time to change it out. Congrats on your good shave.
