Using a brush with canned foam?

This is a very interesting thread. I didn't expect Leo to get good results with canned crap and a brush. But it seems ok. Not that I'll go that route.

I'm surprised too. I just finished another wonderful evening shave with Barbasol, my Semogue brush and Mach 3.

I place my brush to soak in hot water (using my Dirty Bird Bill bowl), shower, shake out the brush so it remains damp, dump the water from the bowl and squeeze Barbasol into the bowl, about a handful, stir a little with the brush, wet my face and apply Barbasol like usual. I have enough 'lather' for two passes and I'm not wasting as much canned goo. I don't have to apply with hands no more, less mess and my face gets to enjoy the brush experience (and I save my wrist from that annoying process of mixing lather). Aces!

    Leo K.,
I have been using a wet brush with foam for many, many years. Just did not want to get my hands messy and with a brush you do not waste any foam at all. It is not on your hands. Nevertheless, I only applied it with "painting" motion, not like you use a brush with cream for face lathering. You might find out some day that applying the foam directly on your brush works great. You do not really need a bowl.

Thanks Huf, I tried adding the foam to my damp brush and it worked just as well if not better than using my bowl!

And another thing learnt! Thanks Leo for a new insight. I may not use your technique anytime soon, but in any case it is an interesting read! I'm glad you found something that works for you! :happy088:
