Very plainly and simply: Menthol Monday! Neutrogena Men Facial Wash Large Horsehair Barbershop Super Speed/new Sharp Stirling Glacial Original SS Diana Sport Menthol Balm Osage Rub AS Aramis EdT It's going to be a very warm day here in Montreal, so I might as well break out the coldest stuff I have. The Glacial soap I use at the current time is from the original test batch which Rod made and at the beginning it was a bit tough to lather up, but after I let it air out for around a month it improved greatly. I love the heavy wintergreen/menthol scent, and the freezing sensation is so intense that your eyes can start tearing. The skincare is absolutely brilliant, as is the case with all the Stirling soaps I've used. The Diana Sport/Rubby Dubby Doo combination is not for the delicate man who cannot tolerate menthol! (No photos, sorry!)
Dove Men's Face Wash TOBS Lavender Shaving Cream Semogue 1305 Boar Schick M Adjustable Schick Injector Stainless Blade CWR Dickinson's WH FD Old Spice AS Today's shave was must excellent. The TOBS Lavender Shaving Cream just burst into a rich creamy lather while face lathering with the Semogue 1305 boar brush. This is my favorite boar. It is soft, and has great backbone. Set on 4, the Schick M adjustable with Schick stainless blade took two passes and some neck touch ups to produce a near BBS shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Dickinson's WH and Family Dollar Old Spice after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
How is the Dove face wash? I use ole spice (various scents) and dove body wash, shampoo, and face cream.
I have psoriasis, and the DMFW works very well for me. It is unscented, and cleans without drying out my face. I don't use "soap" to wash my face, only DMFW. I use a pea size dollop to wash my face, so it lasts a long time. And, it does not break the bank.
14 April 2014 I am going to amend this based on the morning's shave. When I got this Plisson it was new but in a group of purchased items. When going to the Plisson website and comparing this brush visually and various other forum responses, I was sure that this was European White due to the banding and colorations. After cleaning, soaking (with the associated big bloom) and using it, the brush seems scritchy and the coloration has toned down a bit. So now I am wondering if this is European Grey instead of European White. If there are any Plisson experts that can help to narrow down the identification it would be appreciated.

I used the LASS yesterday and the Tiki today. Tiki soaps are also excellent and can hold their head high against MdC. I finished up with Barbon (still one of the “Best Buys” out there)! Bob
Excellent menthol Monday shave in two passes Today I only needed two passes because I got such a great shave yesterday. This shave was completely trouble-free and satisfying. I used Synergy Frost_Byte, which my Plisson handled with ease. I'm really liking this brush. It will certainly be my travel brush, if not my daily driver. Typical Monday and I got a bit in a hurry hence the alum. The Sheraton is a nice TTO but I tend to forget even though it's a Gillette that it's not a SuperSpeed and I can't go blasting around the corners without consequence.

MONDAY 'I Got In On A PIF' Week I was fortunate to win one of the generous PIFs offered by TSD members in March. Thanks, Fram! MY prize: A near-new tin of Pre de Provence Savon Á Raser (shave soap). I have enjoyed using the PdP products in the past ( their line of bath soaps and post-shave balm is part of my regular routine). Quality ingredients (with added shea butter) and a clean, fresh-smelling herbal/sage scent I enjoy. The soap is no slouch—but does require a bit more effort for it to yield a dense, thick lather. Great stuff and I like the way my skin feels, post-shave. Have a GREAT Monday, all!
