Do you listen to wetshaving podcasts?

As far as I know there are only two current and active wetshaving podcasts;

BrushnSoapnBlade, and
Moustache and Blade

They are both good and very different.

BrushnSoapnBlade is my favorite by far though. It's a one-man-show with Rick as the host and I really like how honestly he covers products. Some he loves and some...well...he really doesn't I like following along as he tries out new soaps, blades, etc.

Moustache and Blade is by the guys at HowToGrowAMoustache and their production value is a tad better but their content is unfortunately often a bit too 'commercial' and not 100% sure that they always say what they really want to say due to business relationships, etc. It feels less 'real' - but still an enjoyable podcast to listen to!

Anyone else have these playing in their earholes each week - and, know of any others?

 

Nope. I'd rather read about it than try to listen as someone describes something I may not have any interest in.

 

I like to listen it on my commute. Makes the train ride(s) more pleasant

Thanks for sharing, pretty neat to listen too. I enjoyed a few of the podcasts from Brushnsoapnblade.

 

I didn't even know there were any wet shaving podcasts. I'll have to check these out.

 

I tried one time, but found it didn't really work for my attention span. I would rather read.

I really liked when M&B did a 'field trip' to a barber and the host took his dad with him to experience his first straight razor shave. Great stuff and that real-time, on-site audio reporting is hard to convey in the same way through just text.

Brushsoapnblade is one I listen to while I hike from time to time. He's interesting

 

I listen to both of these. I have an hour commute so I have the time. Both of these have had some really great topics and I've learned a few things about technique and about some products that I'd never heard of. M&B is a little "goofy" at times but they have interviewed some very knowledgeable people. Great way to pass the time on a drive!

 

Agree, the guys at M&B doesn't come across as likeable for some reason.
Also the 'reading fiction' or reading product manuals made me fall asleep and considering quitting it lol - not to mention the terrible segment where acronyms where read out. Ugh... But...I'm staying for the interviews that are often very good.

Do you know of any others?

 

Just started listening to M&B this weekend. I'm struggling with the hosts (sounds like a bit of a putting-on-aires crew), but I'm going to stick with it to see if they relax a bit more when the red light goes on. I will also try brushnsoapnblade at some point soon to see how I like that one.

 

I'd be very curious to hear what you think about both of them when you have had a chance to compare them.
They are very different.

 

I had been listening to M&B but I seem to have the same opinion as some others here and stopped. I will take a listen to the other one. I have a long commute, and I'm always looking for a good podcast to escape the waste land that is commercial radio.

 

Mustache & Blade is an excellent Podcast! They do have some commercials, but I tend to enjoy them! They've interviewed some of the greats in the WS industry! I look forward to hearing more interviews..
