1. Tyr's Day:

Prep: Hot shower, Neutrogena Deep Clean Gentle Scrub, TSD Jasmine Sambac Preshave balm
    Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger
Soap: Ginger's Garden Grass Stain Menthol Snow
    Razor: FaTip Piccolo
    Blade: Bolzano (2)
    Passes: WTG, XTG, ATG (3, 4, 5)
Post: Cold water rinse, Bloc Osma Alum, Dickinson's WH, Lucky Tiger Menthol ASB*
    Cologne: Burberry Brit by Burberry

With no shave on Monday due to a nick on my throat, I dub this Tundra Tuesday. I took extra time and caution on the attack angles with the blade, and was rewarded. Three passes, one tiny weeper on my upper lip, BBS results. I also found that using the Lucky Tiger after the Alum has been applied is an exercise in futility, as it made my pores too tight to even consider absorbing the ASB - hence the asterisk.
  2. Tuesday:

L'Oreal Men Expert Facial Wash :love055: :love055: :smiley freezing: :smiley freezing:
    #6 Horsehair
    Super Speed/Sharp day 2
Mama Bear Cilantro Lime Ice SS :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
Anherb AS Conditioner :love055: :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS :love055: :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
    Givenchy Pour Homme EdT

Smooth as silk and very comfortable is the way to describe this shave - this Cilantro Lime Ice aka Czar's Choice, I believe is a very nice soap - its scent is great, its lather is a pleasure to work with, and its menthol effect is a real picker-upper. The Anherb conditioner and the Aqua Velva felt so icy and amazing! ;) :D
  3. Tuesday, April 15 - Tax Day Shave
L'Oreal Icy Gel Face Wash, 2 hot towels
    Homemade PSO, Cetaphil lotion
Lather, and one more hot towel
    Merkur HDC
    Treet (1)
    C.O. Bigelow
    Cold water, Thayers, Cetaphil
    Stetson AS w/Aloe
    2 passes - W, X, touch-up and buffing

DFS on the cheeks, chin, and upper lip, close on the neck.
This is my first time using the Treet. Since it's a carbon blade, will it rust after one use? The wrapper said "do not wipe blade" and "leave blade in razor."
  4. A fantastic shave
My Coconut Bay synergy soap worked great with the Plisson brush. This is my first shave with Personna Med Prep blades and I'm very impressed. Extremely smooth and easy BBS today with no weepers or irritation. I wonder how long these blades last? Are they short-lived, since I'm thinking they are only used once for actual medical prep? I'll find out in the coming days. If I can get at least three shaves, I might have to locate a supply of these beauties.

Prep: RR/HTGAM lime menthol pre-shave soap
    Soap: Synergy Coconut Bay
    Brush: Plisson Synthetic
    Razor: SC101
    Blade: Personna Med Prep (1)
    AS: Krampert's Finest Bay Rum

    Blade: Personna Lab Blue (3)
    Cream: TOBS Jermyn Street
    Brush: Semogue 830

I love the scent of TOBS Jermyn Street and it gave me a wonderful BBS shave.

    Have a great day!
  8. SOTD April 15

    Blade: Feather (day 2)
    Brush: Vie-Long
    Soap: Proraso Green
    Passes: 2 (WTG, XTG)
    Post: Proraso Blue

I'm really enjoying the pairing of the slim twist and feather.
  9. I wish I'd noticed earlier where you live. My wife and I were (sort of) down that way a couple weeks ago. I would have invited you to lunch.

    Dove Men's Face Wash
    TOBS Lavender Shaving Cream
    Semogue 1305 Boar
    Schick M Adjustable
    Schick Injector Stainless Blade
    CWR
    Dickinson's WH
    Pinaud Clubman AS

It was a mighty fine shave. The TOBS Lavender shave cream face lathered easliy with the Semogue 1305 boar brush. The Schick M adjustable, set on 4, did a great job with two passes and touch ups on the neck. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Dickinson's Witch Hazel and Pinaud Clubman after shave. It was a close, comfortable shave. I am smooth, clean, and refreshed...
  11. 4/15/2014 I got it in a PIF week

Prep: Hot shower with L'Oreal Men Expert Facial Wash, home made PSO
Razor: Gillette Aristocrat, Dubl Duck Goldedge straight razor
    Blade: Don Juan (1)
    Brush: Turkish #6
Soap: The Shave Den Lanolin shaving soap Iced Sub Zero with extra menthol
    After: Home made ASB
    After Shave: Barbon after shave
    Cologne: Akthar Noir

A 2 pass Darn Fine Shave this morning. The TSD Iced Sub Zero I got in a PIF. I would rate it as an 8 out of 10 on the menthol scale. The lanolin soap really leaves my face smooth and moisturized.

    Have a blessed day!

    Soap: HTGAM Synergy unscented
    Brush: Oscar11 with HIS knot
    Razor: iKon ShaveCraft
    Blade: Kai
    After: Cold rinse, CeraVe

Good shave. Excellent lather from the HTGAM and the wonderful Oscar11 brush. I decided to give the Kai blades another try today. My impression is the same as last time: not a bad blade, but there are others I like better. Blades are so personal.
