I went for a mild shave. Nothing too crazy. DVH will most likely be a soap I routinely grab. The Med Prep was on its last leg, so it got retired tonight. DFS shave all around. I got pulled over for speeding today, but got off with a written warning. I have to lay low now.
Whew, you were lucky no ticket this time - cuidado, mi hijo! The DVH is one hell of a nice soap and I love it also!

Dove Men's Face Wash TOBS Lavender Shaving Cream Semogue 1305 Boar Schick M Adjustable Schick Injector Stainless Blade CWR Dickinson's WH FD Old Spice AS I am loving this shave combination. The TOBS Lavender Shaving Cream face lathers so easily with the Semogue 1305 boar brush. Two passes and touch ups on the neck with the Schick M adjustable and Schick injector blade left me with a very close comfortable shave. After my traditional cold water rinse, I finished off this fine shave with Dickinson's WH and Family Dollar's Old Spice after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
Gillette LC New Bulldog Merkur Blade Omega Baby Pro Walter's Rose Alum Superior 70 It's been a while since I used a Merkur blade. I used to think they were a good blade, but over priced. Nothing has changed. Good shave.
Thursday: Neutrogena Men Facial Wash #6 Horsehair Super Speed/Sharp day 4 Stirling Glacial Spearmint SS Diana Sport Menthol Balm Osage Rub AS Versace L'Homme EdT My first shave with the new Glacial Spearmint soap and I LOVE it - what a gorgeous, STRONG scent that fills the bathroom while you're lathering up, and by the way it lathers very well. The menthol effect is so intense that it made my eyes tear just like the original Glacial Wintergreen soap. The skincare is perfect - moisturizing and so soothing, and your skin not only feels frozen, it feels well-protected against irritation and dryness. The Diana balm and the Rubby Dubby Doo are NOT for the faint-hearted - they're so cold together that the feeling is almost painful. BBS in two easy passes.
Thursday: hot shower w/Pinaud Clubman Musk scented body wash Homemade PSO Gillette Slim (9) 2 passes Gillette Wilkinson (5) Tweezerman HIS Deluxe badger Super-Max Ultimate cream in a warm mug Thayers unscented w/aloe Pinaud Citrus Musk EDT Just shaved yesterday so not much stubble to speak of but a shirt and tie event right after work tonight required a touch-up plus it gave me a chance to try out the Super-Max shave cream that came in yesterday's mail. Made a real nice lather and the combination of tea tree oil, aloe, and vitamin E makes for a good feel. Tomorrow brings an all day meeting so I'll get to shave again!
Wacker Tiki Bar "Captain" 30mm homemade brush Nice shave this morning. I've sure enjoyed the Wacker since I bought it, good shaver. Have a good one.
Did you tell the officer that your reason for speeding was a lack of wind resistance due to a DFS shave?
25 consecutive days with Stirling Barbershop and lather #37 (including head shaves). The bottom of the mug appeared again. Prep: hot shower and face wash with Stirling bath soap Lather: Stirling Barbershop Brush: Vie-Long 13061 Razor: Merkur HD Blade: Bluebird (4) Post: cold water rinse and CC Bay Rum I joined a challenge over on B&B to use only 1 soap for a month or until it was gone. I actually started with this soap on March 24 and have not missed with it yet. Lather building is now routine and easy. Face lather has been the order of each day, except for 1, and face lathering continues to deliver excellent results. 3 passes with no issues. Bluebird blade delivered 4 good shaves with just a hint of tugginess towards the end of the shave today.
Thursday, April 17, 2014 Prep: Warm shower, Cetaphil Lotion Razor: EJ DE89 Head w/ Weber Classic Handle Blade: Personna Lab Blue (1) Cream: C.O. Bigelow Brush: Semogue 830 Post: Witch Hazel, Cetaphil Lotion Aftershave: British Sterling I wouldn't call the C.O. Bigelow menthol effect cold, but it definitely left my face cool and refreshed. As always, the combination of the Personna Lab Blue, EJ DE89 razor, and C.O. Bigelow gave me an excellent shave. Have a great day!
SOTD April 17 -- I got it in. PIF week Prep: hot shower Razor: 1968 slim twist Blade: Feather (day 4) Brush: Vie-Long Soap: Margaritas in the Arctic Passes: 2 (WTG, XTG) Post: none I almost gave the Stirling One another go this morning, but went with my other Stirling soap, Margaritas in the Arctic. I had way too much water so I dumped out half of the soup I had made and loaded up more product. The lather was still a little wet for my liking but man that menthol kick sure is nice. So nice in fact I decide to skip on post shave so as not to interfere with it. I have a feeling I will regret that decision...
Thursday Prep: Hot Shower-Stirling Bath Soap Soap: Godrej Lime Fresh Cream Razor: Gillette Slim Blade: Personna Med Prep (1) Brush: Plisson Grey Badger Aftershave: Krampert’s Frostbite WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angle for my beard a bit) I used my Godrej Lime Fresh Cream today. Great lather, great scent, great shave! I finished up with Krampert’s Frostbite. Perfect match. Bob
Great shave Everything worked together very well today to make a nice close shave with no weepers or irritation. I'm starting to think the RR/HTGAM pre-shave soap is the primary reason for my streak of shaving excellence. It really seems to boost the lather on the first pass, and it cleans my skin effectively. The Facial Fuel makes my skin feel smooth and does not add a scent of its own... I can still pick up a whiff of the Ferox. Prep: RR/HTGAM lime menthol pre-shave soap Soap: B&M Ferox Brush: Plisson Razor: SC101 Blade: Personna Med Prep (3) AS: Kiehl's Facial Fuel

Warranted Germany Barbers Favorite straight razor Blade: Don Juan (3) Brush: Turkish #6 Soap: L'Occitane Cade After: Home made ASB After Shave: Aqua Velva Musk A 2 pass plus touch ups Darn Fine Shave today. The Don Juan blade was rough this morning. Time to retire this one. Have a blessed day!
THURzDAY Maundy Thursday A not-so-gentle 3-pass straight razor shave this early morning. After 4 consecutive days using a DE razor, I'm a bit rusty going back to the SR. I realize I really need to stick with the straight consistently in order to continue to improve my ability with it. No blood drawn, but was is more challenging to get smooth results on the tougher angles. Oh well….practice, practice, practice. Have a blessed Holy Thursday, all!
