  5. Thursday 17/04/2014.

Holiday weekend is upon us, the wife and I are driving to our place on the coast for a long weekend. One we have both been looking forward to since last September. So I decided today I was going to treat myself to a long leisurely shower followed by an even longer shave..

Pre- shave:- Hot shower, Clinique skin supplies facial scrub/exfoliant

    Prep:- Proraso white pre shave

Soap:- TOBS, Lemon and Lime. Really subtle scent on this one.

    Razor/blade:- EJDE89L with Astra SP (3)

Post:- Cold splash, Alum block, Thayer's WH/ Aloe Vera. Pashana American Bay Rum.

Cream lathered easily and two passes WTG and XTG + touch up! gave me after 3 months of DE shaving can only describe as an absolutely brilliant BBS shave, no nicks, weepers or irritation.

Jump in the car now and enjoy the weekend, hope you guys and girls do to...

I was supposed to use the Bullet Tip for a couple more days but it tugged horribly when I last used it with a 3 day growth, so I switched to the 1924. I don't like to use it too much because it is too good. It just doesn't give me a challenge. It is easily the most efficient razor I have. Sure enough it mowed down my 3 day growth with ease and no tugging. It is also the only razor that I can get a decent DFS shave just using WTG and the only razor I can get a consistent BBS with. So I just used WTG on my chin. The sides of my face, WTG, XTG, ATG for one of the closest BBS. Truly an amazing razor and because it is so aggressive and because I can feel exactly what the blade is doing I get cut less with it than mild razors (Push Button, Bullet Tip).
