SATURDAY Calm Before the Storm day A quiet Saturday morning shave—which I do appreciate as tomorrow shall be a bit more hectic. I broke out the tub of the 'Fat'—one that I've neglected for some time in favor of so many (took many!) other good shave soaps. Super slick lather was the perfect accompaniment for the über-aggressive R41/Feather blade combo. A two-pass great shave! Have a great Saturday, all!

Saturday morning - 4/19/14 Prep: warm wash with Stirling bath bar Lather: Omega Crema Brush: Stirling best badger Razor: Merkur 34HD Blade: no name Super Iridium Post: cold water rinse and Captain's Choice Lime Easy 3 pass shave. I've not used the Omega cream for about 3 months. It does just fine. Face lathered after loading the brush for about 15 seconds. Wish it had some menthol and not just eucalyptus.

Forgot to charge the camera battery last night. Went with Italian theme as much as possible today in honor of dear friend with Italian heritage who turns 60 today. Know Bolzano no longer made in Italy but Germany and tried to use but new blade was tearing my face up. No weepers but skipping and irritation. Second Bolzano blade out of three to do this so this blade not for me. Went back to the Wilkie and BBS shave once again.

Wostenholm & Son "Canuck" and 1968 Slim Twist Blade: Feather (day 5) Brush: Vie-Long Soap: Col Conk lime Passes: 2 (WTG, XTG) Post: alum Well, I was going to keep today's shave the same as yesterday but just could not get comfortable using the straight on my neck so I pulled out the Slim Twist. DFS from both razors and the Feather still has some life left in it after 5 shaves.
My angles are off and I just cant seem to find the right grip of the straight when it comes to my neck. I figure it out eventually, until then I have no problems playing it safe and using a DE when I need to.
