I am going to make the switch from cartridge to DE. I was thinking of getting a razor from my birth year to start with. Can anyone please recommend a 1972 razor? Thanks in advance Atnot
I see Gillette razors with S date codes on eBay but not T codes. Are the T's more rare or are the codes interchangeable? Atnot
The "T" in the date code signifies that the razor was made in 1972, the "2" in the date code means that it was made in the second quarter of the year, which your May birth date falls under. Gillette Date Codes Oops sorry, my bad. That would be an S2 date code you are looking for.
Those black handle Super Speeds are fantastic razors. I recently acquired one as my 1974 birth year razor and it has turned out to be great. Keep checking eBay for 1972 razors and eventually you will find one at a decent price.
Thanks a lot, I am pretty excited to switch from cartridges. When I bought my first bottle of whiskey it was my birth year, I figure doing the same with a DE razor would be pretty slick
