4/22/14 Prep: warm wash with Stirling bath soap Lather: Godreg Cool Menthol Brush: Stirling best badger Razor: Merkur 34HD and Gillette Slim Blade: Laser Ultra Post: Cold rinse and Proraso Green aftershave I may have found a blade that the HD doesn't like. The Laser Ultra was tuggy and rough. So I quickly moved it to the Slim and it did okay, not too smooth, but not painful. Wel'll see what tomorrow brings. The blade and the cream are from a PIF I won from another board. The Godrej provided good cooling, but I have not used a tubed cream for over a month, so it may take a while to dial in the lathering. I still struggle with bowl lathering. Ended up putting cream on the brush and lathering directly on my face.

SOTD April 22 Prep: hot shower, Proraso pre-shave white Razor: WW2 Gillette Tech Blade: Klenzo (day 2) Brush: Vie-Long Soap: Proraso Green Passes: 2 (WTG, XTG) Post: none, Firehouse Wacky Tacky Moustache wax Well, the Klenzo did provide a much more comfortable shave today, pretty sure most of the improvement was from the prep. I got a nice face freeze from the Proraso pre-shave and green soap, this was possibly the most intense menthol sensation I've gotten from the Proraso Green soap. It made me want to keep shaving! I got a little carried away waxing my moustache, and forgot an ASB. Hopefully not using alum for a fifth day in a row will be enough to have my face not dry out....

Chilly Excellence Barrister & Mann is onto something with this Ferox soap... The combination of Shea butter and lanolin makes for a really thick lather that leaves my face moisturized and smooth. I wet just the tips of my Plisson brush and had plenty of lather in no time. This soap doesn't seem extra thirsty to me. I used the Synergy Frost_Byte aftershave lotion today for the first time, and it's a winner. The consistency is a little thinner than the Gondolier lotion, but it absorbs quickly and gives me that welcome chill and skincare I've come to expect from HTGAM. It matches well with the RR/HTGAM pre-shave soap.
