The disposable is made by Personna- a company I believe makes the best DE, SE, and Injector blades. But in this case I would much rather use a Gillette Super Speed with a Dorco. Nothing but tugging. Hard to believe anyone could make this and harder to think someone actually uses these. Keep in mind after switching over to the Sharp Side I am no fan of DE, but I would in a jiff go back to the worst of DE razors with Derby blades before using this POS. A piece of Obsidian rock even.

Saturday: Hot shower followed by two hot towels and a facial massage Proraso Green Crema Pre-Barba Large Horsehair Barbershop Super Speed/Sharp day 6 Proraso Green SS Thayers Witch Hazel Mennen Skin Bracer AS Smooth as a baby's little tush and so cool - this is the older version of Proraso Green soap. I think I'll take it with me on my vacation trip to Guadeloupe this coming Monday. It gave me great lather this morning with its famous menthol effect and the witch hazel together with the Skin Bracer were a terrific couple of finishing touches.
Dove Men's Face Wash Cremo Shave Cream (first shave) brushless Gillette Aristocrat '47 Astra Superior Platinum (6) CWR Dickinson's WH Pinaud Clubman AS Today was a first shave with the Cremo Shave Cream. It's a brushless cream, so this was a different experience for me. After my face wash with Dove Men's face wash, I rubbed in a dollup of Cremo Cream all over my beard. The Astra Superior Platinum (6) in my '47 Gillette Aristocrat gave me a close comfortable shave after two passes and touch ups. I just re-wet my face between passes. The Cremo did a great job of providing slickness and reducing friction. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Dickinson's WH and Pinaud Clubman after shave.
2+ days growth... Gillette Slim on 5 (about as close to wide open as I ever get) Lord Super Stainless blade (shave #2) Barbasol Arctic Chill 2 pass ATG most of the way, except XTG on chin/lip. BBS, no nicks, no burn. Liking these smooth Lords more and more all the time. Vintage Skin Bracer in the corny trophy bottle.

SATURDAY I had such a good shave yesterday with the Repp, I 'doube-dipped' and went back to it today for a repeat performance. Used the XXX in place of yesterday's MdC and it performed quite nicely. 3 passes and super smooth. Not a complete BBS as I stil have some rough patches, but in time, I'll finally figure out how best to attack those stubborn areas. Have a great Saturday, everyone!
Old Type + Personna Lab Blue = amazing What a wonderful shave today. I decided to use my Old Type again for the first time in months, and it really shined with the personna blade. Extremely smooth, close, and easy shave with no irritation or weepers. I could see this combination being my desert island shave. The Ferox was great again, especially with the boost from the RR/HTGAM pre shave. The lather was perfect and my face feels terrific. Krampert's bay rum will always be in my den, it's such a top notch aftershave... I thought the scent would clash with the Ferox, but it doesn't because both are subtle to my nose.
