How does stirling compare to Synergy soap? I'm interested in trying stirling, their lavender & sage in particular.

I've tried both. IMO Synergy is much better. Yeah Stirling has tallow but Synergy performs as well as a tallow soap. Only veggie soap I've used that does. Synergy is easier to lather and doesn't have a slimy lather chock full of castor oil that's hard to wash off.

Heh, and for counterpoint, IMO Stirling is much better. Fantastic dense, protective lather and very moisturizing. I don't find it slimy or difficult to rinse off.

Synergy, for me, I was able to make big piles of fluffy lather, but it just wasn't the dense stuff that I like to shave with. But I know I'm in the minority, most seem to like it.

I'm with Fram773. Stirling is good, Synergy is excellent.

I like both these soaps. Synergy is easy to under hydrate. Take your pick, I'll shave with the loser and be happy.

I like Synergy better, but I agree that a great shave can be had from either.

I'm gonna go ahead and try a puck, variety is the spice of life as they say. Gotta support a fellow Texan small business too.

I'm thinking of trying the Synergy Frost_Byte soap to see how nice and cold it is. I have three WONDERFUL mentholated Stirling soaps which I'm in love with. Such beautiful scents they have with great lather and perfect skincare.

I would be really interested in your impressions of Frost_ Byte. It's plenty cold enough for me, but I'm curious to see how it stacks up against Glacial and the others you use.

I've been told it's a close second-place to the Yeti Snot which is EXACTLY as cold, but not colder than the Glacial. I'll soon buy a Frost_Byte just to make a comparison. :)

I have the Cavendish in stick. It's awesome. I also have Rose and Tea Tree Oil from Stirling. It's awesome too. LOL!

I love my frozen tundra Stirling soap
But absolutely love the Cavendish scent from synergy. Imo Stirling soap edged out the synergy in performance and skincare though.

I really am torn between the two. The one thing that really aggravates me about Stirling is that I can never seem to rinse it off my face good enough. But the performance is so good and I probably don't need to have an aftershave afterwards.

Synergy Cavendish is easy to lather, but I had trouble keeping it slick. Stirling is the slickest soap I own.

Finally! I thought I was the only one. I feel it is probably a result of the castor oil. I use the Stirling body soap where castor oil is further down the list. I get some of the same feel but significantly more muted and it washes away well.

Me too, I have the Stirling, and I have VDH Soap and Williams Soap. I also Patrick's Blend Soap aka Van der Williams Shaving Soap.
