I have not used one nor I have I heard much about them. I would probably avoid that strop, as it looks very close to the cheap Pakistani strops I see on the bay all the time. Again, I cannot speak from experience, but I can tell you that a Genuine leather starter strop from Whipped Dog or The Heirloom Strop Company are great quality and will do the job for around the same price.
The Whipped Dog advice is good. I myself would suggest getting a Illinois #827. They're cheap enough ($35) and hold up forever. I honestly think it's the best all around strop period but that's just me. I know Glen uses one on all the razors he hones for you guys and himself so that endorsement right there is 2nd to none, but I just think they're cool because this is what I've always seen in barber shops back in the day. An Illinois strop reminds me of something that would and 99% most likely was attached to the chair Al Capone sat in when he was shaven and they were also attached to the barber chair's and chair that Albert Anastasia was sitting in when he was shot outta his chair in the Grosso Barber Shop in the Park Sheraton Hotel in October of '57. So I just see so much history and tradition behind this particular make of strop that I've just never felt the need nor wanted to use any other strop.
