See this article from Reuters. Among the myths is this one:
    • Shaving makes hair grow back faster or coarser
The rest of them don't interest me. :D

    Don't let this out!

    * Mobile phones are dangerous in hospitals

Despite widespread concerns, studies have found minimal interference with medical equipment.

Could you just imagine everyone in the hospital on their cell phones!

I've left mine on and used it while getting wrapped up for burns in the ER.. no one even mentioned anything about it.

I wonder if that is an American rule?

No, the breading came off in my hand.. I gripped too hard.

I have other medical stories.. like the time I got hit in the face with a boomerang and had to get my nose stiched back onto my face WITHOUT freezing.. because the boomerang had gotten stuck an inch into my nose where it meets my upper lip.

and then the time I took a baseball to my neck..

    and then...:rofl

I am going to chime in here on the hospital cell phone use.

I completely agree with it. Hospitals are places where people must act and think quickly. A great example is admission. You would be shocked to see people yakking away on their cell phone when one of their loved ones requires, say, an emergency blood transfusion, or some other procedure requiring more information.

For another, how about people roaming around, not paying attention to where they are walking or standing. Getting in the way in a hospital can cost someone their life. I can just see some fool pacing around in a hall way while someone is being rushed in, and having to fall in line and wait for them to move over.

Doctors are on their phones to manage illness, approve or proscribe medications, etc. Usually a Doc in a hospital has dozens of patients under his or her care requiring call orders to nursing stations and whatnot. A phone in the hands of a Doctor is probably one of the greatest advances in medical technology. They can be bedside from anywhere on earth in seconds.

The hospital/cell phone thing reminds me of the recent cell phone/airplane issue where they found the same thing. that cell phone waves do not affect it. well, how about people on aircraft not listening when people tell them to sit down?

ok, anyhow... I am not angry, just inspired. :rofl:rofl:rofl
