Saturday morning shave, about 3 days growth.

    °1966 Gillette Slim on 5, then 3
    °1960s British Personna stainless blade
°Shea Moisture African Shave Butter (pass #1)
°1950s Ingram Lather Shave menthol cream (pass #2)

2 pass BBS. A few years ago I derided this vintage line of Personna blades because it came across as really, really lackluster and didn't (at the time) shave worth a darn, so I forgot I had a few packs on them. Found them the other day and figured I'd try again. I wish I could remember what razor I'd mis-paired it with because, in the Slim, it performed great. Pretty sharp and very smooth.

Avon Island Lime a/s with added menthol

One of my brothers-in-law is such a frikkin' pain-in-the-a$$ - he bugged and bugged me to help him move to a new office so what was the outcome of this shave? Not too enjoyable. Oh yeah, the Glacial Wintergreen soap lathered wonderfully for me and smelled delicious, it froze my face to the point where it felt like it was coming off but instead of three slow pleasurable passes I was forced to do only two quick ones. Needless to say this left me in a BAD mood. :angry019: :angry019:

Jeff-Hang in there! Driving a pickup, I get this all the time. You think everyone in Texas owns a pickup until it is time for someone to move or haul something! I hope the rest of your weekend is great!

Prep: Hot Shower-Stirling Scots Pine Bath Soap
    Soap: Maggard Limes & Bergamot
Razor: Gillette Fat Handle Tech (Triangular Slots)
    Blade: Gillette 7 O’Clock Black SP (2)
    Brush: Plisson Grey Badger
    Aftershave: Proraso Green

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angle for my beard a bit)

I wanted to use the Maggard Limes & Bergamot again. I paired it with the Plisson Grey Badger, Fat Handle Tech, and 7 O’Clock Black SP. I had a GREAT shave today! This Maggard soap is a winner and the FH Tech likes the Ninja blade! I finished up with Proraso Green.

Another BBS! I threw a Shark in my Tech and they pair up awesomely. The Maggard soap smells GREAT! The best Lime scent I've come across in my short time as a DE shaver. Of course their Lime pre-shave perfectly complements it. Very rich lather. I still have a few samples to work thru but I'm pretty sure this will be the new addition to my soap rotation.

The Williams Mug Shaving Soap face lathered well with my Semogue 1305 boar brush. Two passes and touch ups with my Merkur 37c slant with Shark Super Chrome blade provided a close comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Cucumber WH and Aqua Velva Ice Blue after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Thanks for the insight, Jeff! I had a go with the spearmint today and it was much better lather. I'll use that in the mean time and give the wintergreen a month off. I'm happy it'll get better. The spearmint is very very cold, but let's face it the wintergreen is a bonafide tearjerker :) Thanks again!

    Last night's shave.

Prep: hot shower, Neutrogena Face Wash.
    Brush: Turkish #6 Brush.
    Razor: Schick Krona.
    Blade: Personna Med Prep.
    Cream: Biotique Palmyra.
Post: cold water rinse, Dickinson WH, Myrsol Emulsion.

Guys, this shave was awesome! The Coate's Sandalwood left me with some irritation on my neck from the shave before. But the Biotique Palmyra handled it well. It lathered amazingly, smelled great, and had great skincare. I think Myrsol Emulsion is the best balm I have ever used. I'm not much of a balm guy, especially during summertime. But I will keep this on hand in case I have irritation. I also wonder why I have several DE's when all I use is Schick Krona.

    Tiki shave
Today I finally tried the Tiki soap I traded for a while ago. This soap lathered up very well with my damp HIS synthetic. I had yogurt in no time. The scent is very subtle, almost unscented to my admittedly not sensitive nose. No matter, it performs up there with any of the other artisan made soaps I've tried.
I was able to get BBS cheeks and DFS neck very comfortably with cold water - no irritation at all. My SC101 paired with Personna Lab Blue really does the trick smoothly and easily. I'm really happy I got this razor.
Once again I topped it off with good old Krampert's Finest Acadian Bay Rum, simply an excellent aftershave in every respect.

    Prep: RR/HTGAM lime menthol
    Soap: Tiki The Captain
    Brush: HIS synthetic
    Razor: iKon ShaveCraft 101
    Blade: Personna Lab Blue (3)
AS: Krampert's Finest Acadian Bay Rum
