I tried making my later "wetter" and just ended up making enough lather for next week! I did thin it out, but not enough until the final pass... I was only able to get one WTG pass on my neck, still getting comfortable holding the razor. Not sure why but I felt like try ATG on my face, and it actually went pretty good!! I got some sting from a cold water rinse, but nothing from the witch hazel.

Great easy lather as usual. The MR1 and Gillette Platinum are a great match. I finished up with Fine’s new Platinum AS. What a great scent, and with more menthol than I expected. Great match-up! Bob
Heavy training session, including boxing bag work and conditioning routine. Sored as hell, but still can manage straight shave and that's the unique pleasure! Waiting for someone posting pic of shaving with Italian dueling razor... My Sunday shave: 4/8 Rebell from herzi 3B brush Tabac shave stick from crackstar Outstanding shave!
Sunday: Hot shower followed by two hot towels #6 Horsehair Super Speed/Sharp day 7 Gada Cool Mint SC Anherb AS Conditioner Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS Maybe not the closest or smoothest shave but still a DFS+. I think it's because the Sharp blade almost conked out on me, so I'll scrap it tomorrow. The Gada Cool Mint cream is awesome stuff - just a small dab explodes into rich, thick lather with a very nice minty/lemony scent and the cooling effect is superb. The Anherb conditioner and the Aqua Velva were a great finish.
Sunday: Prep: Hot shower, Neutrogena Deep Clean Gentle Scrub, TSD Jasmine Sambac Preshave balm Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger Soap: RazoRock Cumba Cheech Razor: FaTip Piccolo Blade: Bic Chrome Platinum (5) Passes: WTG, XTG (11, 12) Post: Cold water rinse, Bloc Osma alum, Dickinson's WH, RazoRock Cumba Cheech AS balm Cologne: Jasmin et Cigarette by Etat Libre d' Orange I skipped yesterday's shave, so I figured the Neutrogena was in order, as it always helps significantly in prepping my stubble. Breaking with typical procedure, I decided to bowl lather the RazoRock, whipping up enough lather to have done about six passes. Unfortunately, the blade was pretty much done by the time I started the XTG pass, so I had to stop after two passes and settle for something slightly better than a SAS. At least I smell good.
I've been training a lot in martial arts and weights lately, but my doctor says he wants me to reduce the training.
Tabac healing I went with Tabac today because it is easy to lather in cold water, and I find it very protective, good qualities after a not so good shave yesterday. I made only two slow, gentle passes on my neck and the usual three on my cheeks, resulting in a close, comfortable shave. Prep: RR/HTGAM lime menthol Soap: Tabac! Thanks. The mug belonged to my wife's grandpa. He was born in the 1893 and died in 1986. He was a fine gentleman. I am restoring one of his brushes now. I wish I had some of his razors, but I don't.
Dove Men's Face Wash C. O. Bigelow Shave Cream Semogue 1305 Boar Brush Gillette Fatboy F2 Shark Super Chrome (3) CWR Thayers Cucumber WH Pinaud Clubman AS The C. O. Bigelow SC face lathered effortlessly with my Semogue 1305 boar brush. Two passes with the fatboy and Shark SC blade with touch ups on my neck left me with a mighty fine close comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Cucumber WH and Pinaud Clubman AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Barbasol Floating Head Perma-Sharp Super Oscar11 SOC Boar Synergy Bay Rum Alum Superior 70 Bay Rum Bigelow No 1099 Lemon Another nice relaxing shave this Sunday morning. After using a tech for the last few weeks, I broke out the Barbasol. It is a nice razor, but the end result is no better than using the tech. I just have a slight bit of irritation. Both the shortened SOC and the Synergy bay rum performed very well. Thanks Steve.
