Would you agree when discussing the efficacy of shaving products, the concept of subjectivity is an implied variable?
Yes, I would agree. Whenever I review a product, or offer comment on another's shaving item, I try to make it clear that whatever my conclusions are, they are based upon my own experience and thus my opinion may be similar, identical or distinctly opposite to yours. For this is reason, I am often hesitant to make any broad, blanket generalizations on many products, such as "This is the best razor EVER!" or "Soapa de Prima is a much better soap than <insert your favorite soap here>..."—with the understanding that 'this is my experience with these products...your opinion may differ." Although I can say, with conviction, "The Veg" is truly an abhorrent product.
Yes. I carry the baggage of a lifetime of living and experience that alway tints my opinions no matter how much I may try to be totally objective.
Case in point: on another thread, just now, it was observed how another member and I have totally opposite experiences with two different razors. Yet neither of us is wrong.
Yes. I avoided Arko for a very long time because I kept reading about it smelling like bathroom cleaner, or like those citronella candles. The scent of lemons is faint and I felt kind of silly avoiding it for so long.
I must have been out to lunch. I don't know what you are talking about. I don't know the meaning of YMMV Please enlighten me. Mickey
