Speick cream today. Always a great lather and a great shave. Slim & Ol’ Yeller still chugging along. I finished with Speick AS, one of the best!

Happy Father's Day to all those dads out there! Since Father's Day and a great shave seem to be a match made in heaven, I was wondering what your Father's Day shave will be like. Please feel free to include prep/razor/blade/soap or cream/after shave etc.

I've just found out that my wife booked an appt at my local barber shop. Great guys who use Astra SPs in a shavette. They offer Proraso Green cream and they have quite a few AS choices. They have a bay rum, which I have never tried (not sure of the brand). First time letting someone else shave me. Looking forward to it!

 

These sound like marvelous soaps!

Father's Day
A repeat of a shave several days ago of my newly honed FR frame back. I enjoyed it so much I thought I'd treat myself to an early morning Father's day shave.
I called my 86-year old dad this morning—and interrupted his morning shave as he is also an early morning riser on Sundays—to wish him a happy pappy's day and let him know what a fine father he has been to all his children.
It's going to be a wonderful day!

Results: I lathered (mediocre) the Stirling and had problems with it from the start. I bowl lathered and applied it and my upper lip started burning Stirling is a great slick soap. My shave itself was great, I just gotta figure out what made me burn. Oh well Happy Father's Day folks!

A great shave this morning with the Fat Boy. I always think of my Dad when I use the FB. When he gave me his GEM MM Clog Pruf for my first razor, he bought a 1959 Fat Boy. He has long since past but he is always with me in my thoughts and heart. I have been blessed with two beautiful Daughters and a wonderful Son which I look forward to hearing from on Fathers Day because, I am so very proud of them.

This Tiki Fougère is outstanding. Reminds me of my days walking at early dawn through the dense coastal redwoods along the Northern CA coast. Light fog on the ground, the dew drops on the ferns and hanging branches and the sun trying to peek through the tall redwood trees. A deep green, woodsy smell. These last two days Amanda's soaps have taken me back to my youth. Yesterday the aroma of my grandfathers backyard with the citrus aroma of Valencia and Meyer lemons and today the deep forest aroma of my favorite fishing and hunting grounds of the Northern CA redwood coastline. Only downside to this morning shave a tugging blade as I was too lazy this morning to strop the straight razor. Live and learn!

FANTASTIC!!! The soap matched nearly perfect with the Aftershave. The fresh Oranges of the PannaCrema paired with the nice scent of the St. Johns is absolutely outstandig. May skin is breathing, like it would say: Thank´s for that great shave.

If you don´t know St. Johns Bay Rum until now,but you like Bay Rum scents,than this is your chance to give it a go. Definetly a winner!!!

My puppy Caesar is my kid. My father's day shave happened last night.

Brush: Turkish #6 Brush.
Razor: Gem MMOC.
Blade: Gem Stainless.
Soap: Razorock P.160.
Post: cold water rinse, Floid Blue, and Myrsol Emulsion.

It was a pretty good shave.

Today, I wear Old Spice in honor and memory of my father. It's all he ever wore when I was growing up. He's been gone for 4 years and I still miss him every day. If you are fortunate enough to still have your father, give him a hug and let him know you love him.
