Shave of the day Pre- Hot shower and The bluebeards revenge pre-shave oil Soap/cream- Proraso Green Brush- Plisson synthetic Razor- Mühle R89 Blade- Gillette 7'o clock(yellow) Post- Cold water rinse, Old spice Whitewater and Nivea ASB It was a long time ago I used Proraso Green and first time I use the Gillette 7'o clock. I must have gotten the best shave so far. Maybe even better than with Astra SP blades. Very close and comfortable shave and smooth blade. Finished of with Old spice and Nivea ASB. I used this method WTG-XTG-ATG this morning. Today I did almost every thing the same. I made 3 passes this morning. Had no Nick's and or Weeper's ! I used my RazoRock Ultimate Alum no razor burn or "Nicks or Weepers". I had an excellent "DFS" I did get a Rudy Castiel Clean Shave ! Tomorrow I am going to give myself a Birthday Present....A Cold Water Shave and use my ATT Atlas Razor.
Razor: Schick I1 injector Blade: Personna (14) Brush: Muhle black fiber synthetic Lather: MWF It's good to be back with the Fat. None of my other soaps compare- yet I needed keep it dry to ease the transition into its new container so I couldn't use it. I followed Planofman's advice to fill the container with water and let it absorb. 16 hours later and it grew but not quite to fill the whole container (it needs more time). The lather looks way better already though not that I had problems before. The blade has a little more life in it. 14+ shaves out of one edge...
SOTD 21 JUNE Irish Spring and Hot Towels Semogue 1438 Boar Speick '68 Lady Gillette Feather Hi Stainless (4) Cold Towels Old Spice Speick is a lovely cream, IMO. Lather is nice and slick. I'll need to try it with a straight. Can smell the lavender in it, but the scent to me is not floral. It is more earthy, with hints of floral. The speick scent, or at least what I think is the scent of the speick plant, is I think what is giving it it's earthy scent. There might also be a bit of tree oil, or something quite like it(maybe the speick plant?), and maybe a bit of menthol under it all. As I said, quite lovely. And I just got one of THE closest shaves of my life. Don't get them much, but a true BBS. Wonderful. Have a great shave, all of you.
