Very simply and plainly for tomorrow. Menthol Monday: Neutrogena Men Facial Wash Large Horsehair Barbershop Super Speed/new Rapira Stirling Glacial Wintergreen SS 444 AS Balm Osage Rub AS Aramis EdT It's been some time since I've used a Rapira blade and they're my favourites because they're not only very sharp and smooth, they have better longevity than almost any other blades. As far as freezing is concerned it's very difficult to beat a set-up like this one - even the Neutrogena facial wash is pretty darned cold. The Glacial Wintergreen soap has everything about it that I love - its scent, lather, frigidly-cold feeling, and skincare. There's nothing like the 444 balm followed by the Rubby Dubby Doo.
I have to be out of the house on the early side, so I skipped Sunday morning and just shaved tonight. Barbasol Floating Head Razor Gillette Silver Blue Semogue 2000 Synergy Bay Rum (with a healthy squeeze of MBomb) Alum Superior 70 (again with the MBomb) A very nice smooth face freezing shave.
Noxzema Classic Clean Cremo Cream brushless Schick M Adjustable Schick Injector Stainless Blade CWR Thayers Cucumber WH Pinaud Clubman AS Today's shave was a brushless shave with the Cremo Cream. The stuff is slick, but I just prefer lather. Two passes with my Schick M adjustable and Schick blade is what it took for a close, comfortable shave. A cold water rinse, followed by Thayers Cucumber WH and Pinaud Clubman after shave left me clean, smooth, and refreshed...

SOTD July 7 Prep: hot shower Razor: G. Wostenholm & Son CANUCK Brush: Vie-Long Cream: Arko Extra Sensitive Passes: 2 (WTG, XTG) Post: Arko Extra Sensitive It feels like the CANUCK is due for a honing, 100 laps on leather and better prep work today but the edge was still tugging. Otherwise it was a nice shave. I filled my lather bowel up with hot water while I showered for the schttle effect. The lather was only warm for the first pass, but it was nice while it lasted. And the lather did last. This Arko shave cream makes a very fast, quality lather with hardly any effort.

Monday Prep: Hot Shower-Stirling Scots Pine Bath Soap Soap: RazoRock San Valentino 2014 Limited Edition Razor: Gillette Slim [6] Blade: ASCO Super Stainless Red Box (2) Brush: Plisson Lucite #12 Grey Badger 22mmx56mm Aftershave: Speick WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angles for my beard) 2nd outing with the ASCO. I pulled out the RR San Valentino. The RR Argan Oil Artisan soaps are excellent! Again, the ASCO was not as smooth (read sharp) as my top blades, but it delivered a smooth, close, nick free shave. Still-so far, so good. I finished up with Speick. Bob
7/7/14 Prep: Shower and face wash Lather: Stirling Spice Brush: Omega B&B Razor: Gillette old style Blade: unknown (super platinum +) Post: Cold rinse and Old Spice There is a reason that Gillette brought out the New style razor. It is better. I won't be using the old style again, it just wasn't smooth at all. But the shave results are pretty smooth, although a touch irritated.

Monday Menthol Monday A well-chilled morning shave thanks to TSD's Iced SubZero PS balm and Menthol Bomb in the Cella. Three passes on the Herskovitz and I'm ready to face the day! Have a blessed Monday, all!
Well I'll be! I didn't know williams made a cool soap. How old? Does it work well? Same williams scent??
DFS Today I used a soap I found at a local farmers market. The Farmington Soap Works is maybe ten miles from my house, so this is about as local as I can get. My Plisson easily whipped up lather, which had a much stronger medicinal smell for the first pass. Luckily the scent wasn't so strong on subsequent passes. With two days growth, I expected a smooth close shave, and that is what I got. The tin is a little small, but I'm used to the huge HTGAM tins. It performed very well, but I'll stick with the Plisson for this one, as my HIS is too big. I'm impressed with this soap, and I'm glad to support a local artisan. She also makes a ginger orange and other scents that I may try at some point. Prep: RR/HTGAM lime menthol Soap: Farmington Soap Works Gold Medal Tea Tree Brush: Plisson Synthetic Razor: iKon SC101 Blade: Personna lab blue (3) AS: Synergy Bay Rum Tonic
