    Prep: Gaia face scrub
    Oil: Shave Secret
Brush: 20mm Whipped dog set deep
    Scuttle Georgetown Pottery
Razor: slim adjustable set to 5
    Blade: Voskhod
    soap:

    Geo. F. Trumper Lilac
    with
    TOBS lavender
    a generous amount of
    Rose of Bulgaria
    and
    Glycerin

    Post: Alum sprayed on
    Witch Hazel: Generic unscented
    AS: Sampsons all natural

I did a nice 4 pass shave this morning. Even though I made up a very good uber-lather, it just didn't leave my face with the same fresh, smooth and moisturized feeling that I have been getting from the French soaps. BTW - the combination of lilac, lavender and rose is excellent.

Two months ago I got a puck of the wintergreen and spearmint glacial soap. They are the two coldest products I own, but the lather is underwhelming at best. I was told to let them chill(rest) and ferment for a month by our resident menthol expert Jeff, but the lather remains the same. Very cold, and slick, just not much else to it. Osage Rub is a nice compliment to such cold soaps. image.jpg

Razor: Ikon DLC Slant w SE100 handle
    Blade: Supermax Sunrise (D1)
    Brush: IBLE 2012
    Bowl: Georgetown G12
    Pre Shave Soap: MRGLO Lime
Pre Shave Balm: TSD Iced SubZero
    Shave Soap: Tiki Frosted Woodlands
    Post: Monster Alum Block
Aftershave: Nancy Boy Cooling AS Gel
First day using the new IKON DLC Slant along with the new SE100mm handle. This was the best shave with a DE razor to date and possibly so with use of the Supermax Sunrise blade. I have both the polished and now DLC slant head and felt like the DLC was smoother. Having this beast of a handle helped @ 100mm long and 3.19oz with a total weight with head attached at 4.47 ounces this would probably be cumbersome for most individuals out there as it feels heavier down towards the handle. To me the heavier weight when going WTG made the pass effortless and I could have called it day after one pass. The length and weight will take some getting use too as I have medium size hands and this is heavier and longer than my next biggest razor the Mergress XL, but I can see this combination as being in my regular rotation. Tomorrow I will use the DLC head on a 85mm IKON handle for comparison sake.

    noch mehr Tabacstag, bitte
I decided to finish off my Tabac today, since I have a refill puck ready. Another amazing shave! I don't remember ever being disappointed with Tabac. I made this a day of favorites. My lather monster HIS brush is the best brush I've ever used, including the Plisson. My iKon ShaveCraft 101 is my favorite razor, mild and efficient. Synergy bay rum tonic is fast becoming my favorite aftershave, I'm not going to get rid of my Krampert's, but I keep reaching for the HTGAM.

    Prep: RR/HTGAM lime menthol
    Soap: Tabac!
    Brush: HIS XL
    Razor: iKon ShaveCraft 101
    Blade: Personna lab blue (2)
AS: HTGAM Synergy Bay Rum Tonic

Today was my first time face lathering. I was concerned because I was using SDM but the lather exploded into an amazing cushiony slick lather in seconds. I was very pleased with my results. I may have to do this more often. I really think it made a difference.

    Odin's Day:

Prep: Hot shower, Neutrogena Deep Cleaning Gentle Scrub, TSD Jasmine Sambac Preshave balm
    Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger
    Soap: Ginger's Garden Grapefruit Mint
    Razor: FaTip Piccolo
    Blade: Bic Chrome Platinum (1)
    Passes: WTG (1)
Post: Cold water splash, Dickinson's WH, Pinaud Clubman

I don't typically pair the Bic with the FaTip, as I find it's a little sharper than I want in my most aggressive razor. That said, I only intended to do a one pass SAS today after yesterday's BBS results, so I figured it would be a good check on technique. The Grapefruit Mint lathered nicely, if not as easily as my tallow soap(s), and cooled my face well for the single pass, which produced no irritation or weepers at all. Finished up with the Clubman for that "Eau d' Get-Off-My-Lawn" scent.

    Lather: L.A. Shaving Spring Street
    Brush: Oscar11 w/ Omega 20248 Knot
    Post: Witch Hazel, Cetaphil Lotion
    Aftershave: None

Today, I made my first full pass with a straight and it was decent. It wasn't very close, but it was OK. I did manage to give myself one small nick on my jawline. I made my second pass with the DE and finished with a pretty good shave.

    Have a great day!
