Richard, strangely enough the Glacial Wintergreen puck which I'm using lathers like a maniac. The original Glacial soap which Rod launched last fall was very, very hard to lather. The first time I used it no matter what I did, it remained pasty and slimy and refused to get fluffy. The menthol effect could have given you frostbite and the skincare was great also, but the damned lather was a nightmare to get going. That was when I heard that the soap needed extra fermenting time so I left it out and uncovered for a month and I swear, the lather exploded beautifully on my face when I started using it again. Rod re-did the formula several times on all his Glacial soap line and the latest batches are apparently excellent. One thing though, these soaps are thirstier than most others and you have to play with the water/soap ratio sometimes. Myself, I start with a relatively dry brush and then I start loading it. After about 30-40 seconds of loading I begin to face-lather and if I'm satisfied with the lather I continue. If I feel it needs some extra water, I put a bit on my palm and throw it on my brush and then I load a little more soap. That generally gives me great lather. Try it that way.

Noxzema Classic Clean Col. Conk Bay Rum Shave Soap VDH Natural Boar Schick M Adjustable Schick Injector Stainless Blade CWR Thayers Cucumber WH Pinaud Clubman AS I am very pleased with the performance of my VDH natural boar brush. It face-lathered the Col. Conk Bay Rum Shave Soap easily. I did two passes with the Schick M adjustable and Schick blade for a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Cucumber WH and Pinaud Clubman after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
THURSDAY Last night of late night shaves…for a while Tonight's shave consisted of sort of an international vibe: German razor, Italian brush, French soap, balm & alum, with the PSO made in the USA. The Henckel is a real nice shaver—easy to navigate and lightweight. Not crazy about the flat scales, but a very nice shave, just the same. Have a blessed Thursday, everyone!

Thursday: Neutrogena Men Facial Wash Large Horsehair Barbershop Super Speed/Rapira day 4 Stirling Glacial Lemon Chill SS Lubriderm Unscented Moisturizer Osage Rub AS Aramis EdT Ever since I received my first Stirling Glacial soap last fall I fell in love with them and became addicted to them. This Lemon Chill is simply awesome. A lovely lemony/menthol scent with terrific lather and a menthol freeze which can make your face feel like it's coming off. The Rubby Dubby Doo has that same effect as well. Once again, two passes resulted in a great BBS shave with the help of my Super Speed/Rapira combination.
