The balance is really good. It fits comfortably in my hand and the angle is really easy to find and keep. I'm going out on a limb and saying I like the balance of this razor better than my DE's. I used a Gem Stainless blade. I've used it for three or four shaves and it's still doing good. It's my last one, but I have 10 ASR carbons left. Hopefully they don't tear me up.
My face has been pretty chewed up the last few days, so shaves have not been the best. I've given it a couple of days break, but I have to shave tonight. I'm goint to wet shave with my Norelco Aquatec electric razor. I haven't used it for a few months. My cream is going to be Stirling Black Ice. I'm seriously trying to finish off the sample puck so I can try another one, but it's lasting forever!
FRIDAY Late Eve Shave I have to cover for someone bright n' early tomorrow morning so I'll be pulling another 4:00am rise. And so, a slow & relaxing evening shave was in order! Ultra-comfy shave results when you pair the MdC with a good razor! The Beau Brummel is related to the Dubl Duck (the Bresduck company had trademarks on both names), and the results were comparable tonight to the last two great shaves I had with the Goldedge. It's been a great shave week for me despite the early morning hours! Have a great Friday ,everyone!
Mods. Can you please move this post to shave off the week thread. I posted this with shaving buddy and it did not go where I wanted to put it. Thanks

Coniferous I am going to use the WTG-XTG-ATG method. I have used it everyday this past week and it seems to be working well for me. Yesterday Thursday I got a good shave but did have a couple of "Nick's and Weeper's" not real bad and no where near a "Practice in Blood Letting" so the use of the Alum Block was warranted. Other wise I got a DFS Shave everyday this week. I think that the reason I got the "Nick's" was that my hands went numb on me. L to R Back; Row Stirling Coniferous PSO ; Arletta's Mug II (Daughter's Cobalt-Blue Mug ) Mug Loaded with Glastonbury(test #1) Stirling Coniferous A/S L to R Front Row; "Old Corps"& "Oscar 11" Custom 28/65mm TGN Finest Badger F-2 Knot Resin Handle Brush Weber 3pc. Friday: Large Horsehair Barbershop Super Speed/Rapira day 5 Erasmic SS Lubriderm Unscented Moisturizer Booster Polar Ice AS Aramis EdT For the first time in quite a while I enjoyed a shave without using anything mentholated. The Erasmic soap has always been a favourite of mine with its beautiful barbershoppy scent, awesome lather and great post-shave care. The Polar Ice aftershave is another brand which I need in my rotation as well - it's a Canadian classic. My Rapira blade is holding up so well - it's still performing like on its first day. What a terrific shave this was. Have a great weekend, folks!

Frey's Day: Prep: Hot shower, Healthy Accent Daily Renewal cleanser Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger Soap: RazoRock One-X Razor: FaTip Piccolo Blade: Bic Chrome Platinum (3) Passes: WTG, XTG (4, 5) Post: Cold water splash, Dickinson's WH, RazoRock One-X AS splash Cologne: Le 3emme Homme de Caron I couldn't stay away, so between RazoRock and FaTip, it became the sHave oF ranDomly capiTalized leTters. Either it's really getting warm around here, or the contrast with yesterday's use of the Cat o' Nine Tails was significant, because I really noticed the menthol in the One-X (though it wasn't a face-freezer). Unfortunately, a momentary lapse reminded me why I don't typically pair this blade with this razor, and there was a bit of bloodshed on the 1st pass. DFS+ results otherwise, and my skin feels really good.
SOTD July 11, 2014 Prep: Hot shower. Axe Boost Energizing Face Wash Razor: Edwin Jagger DE89 Blade: Ladas Super Stainless Lather: RR P.160 Brush: Omega 10066 Post: Alum. Dickinson WH Aftershave: Halston Z-14. Axe Shield Sensitive P.160 leaves me with just a tad of redness on my neck. It dissipates quickly. My daughter loves Halston Z-14. Says it smells like the mall.
