The first razor that I bought was a 1968 N-2 Gillette Slim Adjustable. It was my second DE. My first razor, which disappeared from my dorm room my Freshman year in college, was a 1966 L-3 Slim Adjustable.
Parker 91r from the Classic Shaving brick and mortar store in Palm Springs. It has actually worked out great for me. Purchased March 31, 2014.
My first DE was a Parker 71R, which was just a wee bit aggressive for my starter razor. I've built a small collection since then. The 71R is OK, but I have so many that I like better that I rarely use it anymore.
The first DE razors I purchased were my Merkur 34C and my polished chrome Futur. The first DE I used was one that had belonged to my grandfather.
Gillette Trac II around 1974 was the first one I actually purchased. Prior to that I used a Schick injector handed down from my dad.
I picked up a new Gillette Atra in 1977 to supplant the old Super Speed my father had given me. This led me down the road to ruin for the next 25 years....
My first razor and still only one, the Mühle r89. I bought it in May sometime this year =) I still consider myself a newbie. I need to work on my technique and my consistency(I skip a lot of days)
I didn't bother to shave until I went to Boot Camp. Probably some disposables, then I stuck with the Slim Twin for awhile, tried and ditched a Remington electric, then Schick disposables. About 6 years ago I found (I think it was) a Gem 1924 at Goodwill. It was a rough start but here I am.
A Schick injector 1967. If I can remember back that far. I don't have a thick beard so back then I shaved every Saturday. I have light hair so even now I can go 3 days and no one will notice.
It was either a tracII or Atra. Reagan was president and my memory is about as good as his was. My first (of many) DE and SE razors was a Merkur 23C about five months ago. I've gone a little nuts since then and am up to a dozen or so DE and 5 SE.
My first was a Mühle R89 that I bought in January 2013. I immediately became hooked. I don't use it much now, but it is my go to razor for those rare occasions when I haven't shaved for a couple of days. It extremely effective on those occasions. I have several others that are equally effective, but none that sounds as effective. (My favorites now are the Schick Injector Model J1 & I1 along with my Merkur 34G.)
