I like the slickness that Ingrams provides. A small amount dabbed on my face at the beginning seems to make all my soaps better.

A badly needed shave! Dapper Dragon is a very nice soap. The FaTip made easy work of my stubble. :happy005:

Prep: Hot Shower-Stirling Scots Pine Bath Soap
Soap: RazoRock Capt.’s Choice Bay Rum
    Razor: Gillette Slim [6]
    Blade: PolSilver SI (1)
    Brush: oscar11 TGN 2-Band Finest-24mmx50mm
    Aftershave: “Beta” Capt.’s Choice Sandalwood

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angles for my beard)

First outing with the RR Capt.’s Choice. This one is scented to match Captain’s Choice Bay Rum Aftershave. It produced a nice quick lather. The Slim and PolSilver always do great together. Excellent close, smooth, nick free shave. I finished up with a sample is the new Capt.’s Choice Sandalwood being tested.

    Prep: hot shower
    Razor: Slim Twist
    Blade: Treet Platinum (day 3)
    Brush: Vie-Long
    Soap: Col Conk lime
    Passes: 2 (WTG, XTG)
    Post: Dove men hydrate+

Well I kept with the Treet Platinum, and got one of the more comfortable shaves from this blade I've had yet. I did have to work at the lather a little more then yesterday, but it's a fair trade off for a nice smooth, irritation free shave.

    Prep: Gaia face scrub
    Oil: Shave Secret
Brush: 20mm Whipped dog set deep
    Scuttle: Georgetown Pottery
    Razor: 1912 EverReady SE
    Blade: Gem Blue Star
    soap: my french soap mix
    Post: alum sprayed on
    Witch Hazel: Generic unscented

I used the EverReady again today and received another fine shave. I was pleased to find out that this SE works very well at trimming the length of sideburns. Today I did 4 passes and was rewarded with a near BBS. I have a small amount of irritation, but nothing heavy or unusual. My face feels like I was using a little too much pressure. Who would have thought that I would get a better shave out of a 100 year old razor than I get out of my 40 year old razor that is itself far superior to every cartridge razor I have tried?

    Odin's Day:

Prep: Hot shower, Neutrogena Deep Cleaning Gentle Scrub, TSD Jasmine Sambac preshave balm
    Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger
    Soap: Ginger's Garden Oakmoss
    Razor: FaTip Piccolo
    Blade: Bolzano Superinox (4)
    Passes: WTG, XTG (7, 8)
Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma alum, Dickinson's WH, Pinaud Clubman

Call that a lesson learned. My skin is no longer pliable and resilient enough to make shaving without a good facial cleanser a good idea. The amount of tugging I felt today was drastically reduced from yesterday. My lather was also better, thanks to Irena's excellent Oakmoss scented glycerin-in-a-jar soap. Comfortable DFS, other than an accidental game of 'Find The Pimple." That said, I'll probably retire the blade today, as it's noticeably dulling relative to when I loaded it.

Another great New LC shave today. I used the same setup as yesterday, since I am traveling. My face feels great, and I'm ready for the last day of the conference.

I typically wind up trying to hide from all noises, as they bother my migraines more than the light. I, too, noticed mine took an uptick in severity around 40, and am glad your most recent one is passed.

    Prep: CeraVe facial cleanser
    Soap: Petal Pusher Fancies "Scentsless"
Brush: Oscar11 custom with HIS knot
    Razor: iKon ShaveCraft 101
    Blade: Super Iridium
    After: Cold rinse, CeraVe lotion

The PPF lathered up easily and I had a pleasant three pass shave. Very comfortable and smooth.

I love this brush - Oscar11's trademark interpretation of the Simpson Model 7 handle. I can get a good clean grip while lathering up on my face. The long handle is well suited to the big HIS synthetic knot knot.
