I really like the scent of L'Occitane Cade soap. I'm not good with descriptions of scents, but this one smells very manly. It also easily works into a great, protective lather. I got a fantastic shave to end the workweek.

I've tried a lot too. I like the Ozark MOuntain also. I find my face doesn't like the spicy type scents, bay rum, clubman, etc. It's hard to find a favorite. I'm partial to the menthol scents. I want to try a bunch more. ha ha

Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
After: Home made ASB, Aqua Velva Musk after shave
Cologne: Prada Amber Pour Homme

A quick 1 pass almost Darn Fine Shave. The Mitchell's Wool Fat never lets me down and leaves my face feeling great. The Prada Amber Pour Homme will keep me smelling great all day.

One of my favorite soaps….Top 5!

I went through a bottle of 4711 very quickly. It has a light, refreshing scent that I enjoyed post-shave. More importantly, my wife wasn't grievously offended when I wore it. I may need to order some more.

David, that combo (the Personna & the Sledgehammer) I found ideal together. Sometimes I'd switch out for a Feather Stainless, but either way, the Slant delivered an extremely close, yet comfy 2 or 3-pass shave.

Friday morning is the start of my weekend so I anticipated a leisurely 3-4 pass shave resulting in BBS perfection, however, 2 passes got me near bbs, so I decided to stop. New SC remains a very efficient and smooth razor. Persona Blue blade does a very nice job.

I know I do not post on this thread nearly as much as I used to. But I still read it, quite avidly. I want to thank all of those who continue to post and share the experience with any given set up. You all are a source of inspiration for my shaves. Don't worry!! Lol I have not fallen of the wagon and reverted to cartridges and canned goo. Keep it up gentlemen, you all do a top notch job and I really, really enjoy this thread.
