Frugal Friday Today is dedicated to inexpensive shaving. I went with Proraso Red, because to me it packs some of the best skincare into an inexpensive package. I also used my antique store finds: Rubberset 400 and Gillette New LC, both excellent performers for me. I used a Personna lab blue blade - not the cheapest, but the best value for me. I finished off with good old Aqua Velva Ice Sport, which I got on sale at my local Meijer for less than two bucks. Prep: warm shower, RR/HTGAM lime menthol Soap: Proraso Red Sapone Barba Dure Brush: Rubberset 400-4 Razor: Gillette New LC Blade: Personna Lab Blue AS: Aqua Velva Ice Sport

August 8 2014 Razor: Gillette FB (F1) (6) Blade: Feather (1) Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue Brush: Erskine vintage (1947ish) Badger Cream: Castle Forbes Cedarwood & Sandalwood After shave: Dickinson's Witch Hazel Jack Black cooling gel 4711 Hot water face wash to get started. I have a light beard so this works for me. I like to shower after I shave. I like the smell of the Castle, woodsy which I like for a change from my Cella or TOBS coconut. The lather was great with just a thumb nail of cream. The Erskine brush was a great find NIB, and works well with no hair loss(on the brush) Only needed two passes WTG XTG on my face and WTG ATG on my neck. No music except for the blade. I'm do not like any distractions. I love the FB and it's ability to adjust. If I go 2 or 3 days before I shave, which is getting rare, I crank it up to 8 for the first pass on my face. I learned not to take that option on my neck. After shower, Witch Hazel, and after a few min Jack Black. I just received the 4711, and this was my first try. I ordered it because I liked the bottle and the history. The smell for me was like walking into a high end Truck Stop bathroom. Nice bottle! Great shave. Enjoy your day!
I only have one question......"Just how do you squeeze the Shaving Soap or Shaving Cream" ? Out of them thing around your Razor?
