Looks like the long begged for restock has hit vintage scent with the three limited edition brushes. I know many people have been eagerly waiting to land one of the mixed "mistura" brushes so here you go. Placed my order earlier. http://vintagescent.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=5&products_id=153
Is this still out of the 100 that were made...or did they end up making more - making it a LLE (Less Limited Edition)?
I have been really good and haven't purchased any shaving related items in about 6 months. That mixed knot brush did it. A couple tubes of SC and some 444 ASB.... Hopefully tomorrow, I can get a one day chip again.
I feel yea Pan except I have been really bad this month and next month I plan to buy razorock XXX soap and aftershave, then the hermes aftershave fine did.....then im done.....for atleast 2 months. Eh wait I need a strop also.. Every time I feel like I am at a point where I can take a break on buying something comes along "I have to have".
This is a very nice brush. I don't own one but have had the opportunity to try one. I might go for this one myself.
So did I. Thank you for posting! I'm a huge fan of mixed brushes, rotating between a Semogue SE 2012 and a Vulfix 404 Grosvenor. So now a third one to look forward to!
I picked-up the Cerda, Mistura, and Texugo in the original offering and have no regrets. These are wonderful brushes. I especially like the smaller size of both the knot and handle. I use them exclusively for face lathering and each is most comfortable and feels nice on the face. They lather particularly well with the soft soaps. I have been using Proraso Red and White tub, 3P, and ABCBA. Additionally, each knot has unique characteristics with nice tips and a firm backbone. I recommend you pick one up if you can...you will not be disappointed.
I received the Cerda as well as a Turkish #6 (of questionable genetic ancestry) 2 weeks ago. Used each for a week and both work great. Gotta say, though, the Turkish #6 edges out the Semogue for face lathering, for me, by just a hair.
YES! Without a doubt! Does it really matter which, though? I think my #6 is made from frog hair... or maybe back and butt hair scraped off of the sauna bench at the old folks home. The way the #6 delivers — especially for the price! — I really don't care. Any geneticists on the board? We could send hair samples for DNA analysis!
Unfortunately the hair itself has no DNA. You need the root and the skin cells attached to it... I don't care what it is either, but the little beast sure does work nicely.
