Once again very simply and plainly, here are my shaving plans for tomorrow. Menthol Monday: Gatsby Ice Cooling Gel Facial Wash Large Horsehair Barbershop Super Speed/new Rapira Stirling Glacial Wintergreen SS 444 AS Balm Stirling Glacial Wintergreen WH Oscar de la Renta Pour Lui EdT If this set-up doesn't freeze a man's face off, then nothing will. Once again, and this is very important for everyone to know that every item I'll be using is very cold. The Gatsby facial wash can be considered a face-freezer, the Glacial Wintergreen soap is off the charts with its menthol power and wonderful scent, super-rich lather, and perfect skincare. For those who like a balm which feels moisturizing and cold, the 444 fits that bill awesomely, and the Glacial Wintergreen witch hazel is the coldest aftershave that I ever used. It can and it does out-freeze even the famous Rubby Dubby Doo.

I again will use the WTG-XTG-ATG method. Being as it has worked well and produces a great DFS Shave. I did get a BBS Shave earlier today [Sunday Morning] Also I did get a BBS Shave again as before I did not have any "Nick's or Weeper's" using this method. I will continue using my Wilkinson Sword DE Blades. I did put in a New Razor Blade on Sunday Morning. I used my Weber 3pc. 85mm W/Classic Handle I did 3 passes on earlier this morning. I Got a "Rudy Castiel Clean Used Car" aka "Rudy Castiel Clean Shave" aka BBS Shave! On Sunday Morning I felt a little Razor burn on my lower neck area, so I did use some more Nivea Aftershave Balm along or I should say after the RazoRock Alum Block had dried, before the Cat O' Nine Tails A/S splash.
Dove Men's Face Wash Cella Crema da Barba Semogue 1305 Boar Brush Schick Eversharp I2 Hydro-Magic NOS Gillette Platinum Plus Injector Blade (4) CWR Thayers Rose Petal WH Pinaud Clubman AS The Cella Crema da Barba face-lathered very easily with my Semogue 1305 Boar brush. Two passes with my Schick Eversharp I2 Hydro-Magic and a NOS Gillette Platinum Plus Injector blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. This was the fourth shave with this great blade. So far, so good. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Pinaud Clubman after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
Since Bruce was "inspired" by yesterday's pic, I will return the favor today and get out the Short Handled SA for my 8-18 planned shave!
SUNDAY (For Monday) Sunday Eve Shave My day started early, so no morning shave. So tonight I decided to pamper me'self and try something different. All the recent forum talk about the Mühle R41 got me to break out my trusted ol' 2011 version. Lathered up a new puck of Stirling Black Cherry with the puny WeeScot and it was off to the races…. So after three consecutive weeks of nothing but straight razor shaving with nary a nick nor drop of blood, I managed to nick myself on the second pass with the R41…. Guess I'm a bit out of practice… Super-smooth shave, however, despite the minor blood-letting.
Monday Morning Shave Razor: Gillette Fat Boy (7) Blade: ASCO (4) Brush: Isana Men Pure Badger Soap: Arko with 2 drops of lavander, bergamot and tea tree oils. AS: Barbasol Brisk It was an easy BBS in 2 pass, besides Asco is still sharp and smooth.
Monday, August 18 Prep: warm shower and face wash with Stirling Naked and Smooth Lather: St. Charles Shaving sample Brush: Vie-Long Lord Randal mixed Razor: Gillette New SC Blade: Persona (3) Post: Cool rinse and Captain's Choice Bay Rum Cold water shave. I made the lather in my scuttle filled with cool water. I wet my face with cold water and rinsed between passes with cold water. I had not had irritation very often while shaving with warm water and don't have irritation today, so I'm not sure what that means. Finished off with the mild warmth of Bay Rum.
Menthol Monday: Prep: Hot Shower, Neutrogena Deep Cleaning Gentle Scrub, TSD Jasmine Sambac preshave balm Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger Soap: Ginger's Garden Grass Stain Menthol Snow Razor: Merkur 41c 1904 OC Blade: Bic Chrome Platinum (1) Passes: WTG, XTG (1, 2) Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma Alum, Dickinson's WH, Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS splash Cologne: Xeryus by Givenchy The sting from yesterday's shave didn't last long enough to deter me from shaving this AM, though it did prompt me to switch to somewhat milder, more familiar tools and to skip the ATG pass. As always, this setup produced outstanding DFS results that didn't exacerbate any of the weepers or sting of the previous day's shave.
Menthol Monday Great shave today. Everything worked well and made my skin smooth and comfortable. Playing with filters on the picsart app.

I wanted to see if it really made a difference. Well let me tell you, I'll will not be shaving anytime soon without using some sort of prep. I didn't have any nicks or irritation, but the razor didn't glide like it usually does. I still finished with a DFS+ shave. Have a great day!
