this one was tagged and released. it is a 42 inch female blacktip, happily returned to the gulf of Mexico.

 

Nice catch and release David. I grew up in south Texas, and use to fish the gulf, down in south padre. I cant say I caught any black tips, but I do miss fishing the flats for tailing redfish and some speckle trout. Thanks again for sharing.

 

Hey, is there anyway you can post new pictures with a ruler beside it or just post the dimensions on this thread? I know you posted a pic with brushes and razor to give it perspective.

I would like to know the width and hight of it, so I know if it will fit it =) if not, I will withdraw my entry

Shark week is over, and so is this PIF. It was a close but small contest. Our lucky winner was lightning fast to enter, and gave us a couple of great action shots with sharks.
