Great first shave with my birth year(1965) slim adjustable loaded with a Gillette Yellow and set on 5. Prepped with Musgo Real Glyce Lime Oil. Lathered with TOBS Sandalwood and a Shavemac 177 silvertip in my new Knockout shave bowl. Finished with Fine AS American blend. Really close and comfortable. This razor is definitely a keeper.
Yesterday's shave. It was my first DE shave in over a month. It was my first time using Myrsol Emulsion as a pre shave. I had fairly good results. And I loved the menthol blast. I did get a couple nicks. One on my chin and a tiny one on my neck. I had to get the alum block out.
Gem 1912 Gem SS Blade (Day...5 I think) Semogue 610 Cella Floid Blue Simple clean shave. Leg was killing me this morning though. Expected some Tylenol and a tensor bandage, instead got a Cortisone shot, some Tylenol and no bandage. But at least I wasn't called medically unfit for the upcoming exercise so I get to spend a month in the bush with my friends blowin' stuff up

Dove Men's Face Wash Mitchell's Wool Fat Shaving Soap Frank Shaving Finest Badger Gillette NEW LC Gillette 7 O'Clock Green CWR Thayers Rose Petal WH Mennen Skin Bracer AS The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shaving Soap face-lathered very easily with my Frank Shaving Finest Badger brush. Two passes with my Gillette NEW LC and a Gillette 7 O'Clock Green blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Mennen Skin Bracer after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
Saturday Morning Shave Razor: Gillette Slim (3&7) Blade: ASCO (1) Brush: Isana Men Pure Badger Soap: Proraso Green AS: Barbon This was my first time with a Gillette Slim. I had a very nice BBS with 2 weepers. The weepers were because of my technique. I shouldn't set the Slim at 7 at the very first shave maybe, but I liked this razor so much like his big brother; Fatboy.
Saturday: Neutrogena Men Facial Wash Large Horsehair Barbershop Super Speed/Rapira day 6 Stirling Glacial Wintergreen SS Lubriderm Unscented Moisturizer Stirling Glacial Wintergreen WH I just cannot stay away from my Glacials or any of my other Stirling soaps for more than two days - the Wintergreen gave me such awesome lather with its wonderful scent which fills the bathroom, and that insanely-frigid menthol sensation which hits right away. The matching witch hazel has that same scent and is equally freezing and so soothing. This shave was such a pleasure because I was able to take my time and savour every minute of it.
Saturn's Day/Speick Saturday: Prep: Hot compress, TSD Jasmine Sambac preshave balm Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger Cream: Speick Razor: Merkur 41c 1904 OC Blade: Bic Chrome Platinum (4) Passes: WTG, XTG (7, 8) Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma Alum, Dickinson's WH, Speick AS splash I think I left my brush a bit too wet for use with the Speick cream this morning; the lather was rather soupy compared to normal, and didn't provide quite as much cushion and glide as I've come to expect from this great cream. Coupled with a somewhat aging blade, and I got a bit more irritation with my DFS than is typical with these products, although there was no bloodshed.

Conk's Almond Soap a shot of glycerin Post: alum sprayed on Witch Hazel: Generic unscented AS: Sampsons all natural I made a nice mixture of TOBS and Conk's almond today. This is one of my favorite combinations. The Gem Stainless was on its third shave and not showing any signs of wear. We will see how it hold up. I'm off to my second glider lesson. The first lesson went well, although I spent most of my time worrying about landing because THERE IS NO ENGINE! Maybe today I will be able to relax and read the wind. Have a great day.
