Being a newbie, I don't have much say but I have started my new endeavor of wet shaving with the Razorock Mission. Let me tell you, the thing has some real heft to it! Someone above mentioned you get what you pay for and they had an experience with some plastic on a cheaper razor. There is absolutely no plastic on the Mission. For $20, it's worth a try but I think you will like it. Just my $.02.
The RazoRock Mission is a quality piece - never mind it's low price. It's build quality is superior to a Merkur, at half the price!
It's between futur n mission. Part of me says. Futur just not worth it. It's just a razor, just expensive for a razor. part me says didn't really enjoy shaving with my 1st merkur hd model let's try fairly inexpensive model. The mission that has great reviews. Uhhhhh you know it's not even the money. It's more if I buy it. U cannot return it you know? If I shaved with the futur n loved it I'd keep it no problem.
The futur is a quality piece, and is still sought after by many. I will say that your technique needs to be pretty solid. Why not start off with the Mission, and work on your technique. Then just keep your eyes peeled for a futur on sale in the buy/sale/trade. I have seen at least 3 bought since this thread started. They were on other forums though. Good luck to you...
