School starts up again today; need to make the attempt to look sharp. The Neutrogena consistently does a great job prepping my stubble for the blade, while the Ginger's Garden lathers up easily and thoroughly to allow for the most cushion and glide. As was the case yesterday, I can clearly tell the difference between shaving with a stainless steel blade and shaving with a chrome platinum (or tungsten-coated) blade. Two passes had my face nicely chilly from the menthol, with DFS results and no irritation or weepers.

Ty, it's always nice to see another person enjoying the Bolzano!

Starting another week of school, both as a teacher and as a student. Master's classes start tonight. Wonder how much older I will be than the professors? Doesn't matter. Great shave to start out the morning. Persona Super blade is very good in the New and this soap is starting to come to life and the lather improves with every shave.

I've only had four shaves with the one blade so far, but I have enjoyed the first three of those shaves. Shave number four was still good, but the Bolzano was tugging a little too much for my liking.

Soap: TSD Lanolin - Iced Subzero with a couple drops of TSD M-Bomb menthol additive
After: Home made ASB, Barbon after shave
Cologne: Prada - Amber Pour Homme Intense

A very cool 2 pass Darn Fine Shave + this morning. The Iced Subzero with MBomb really brought the chill this morning. The Barbon kept the cool feeling going and the Prada - Amber will keep me smelling great all day. The Astra blade just keeps going. I am going to see how long it lasts.

RR “The Freedberg” today. Great lather! Great scent! As expected, along with the Gillette Silver Blue and the NEW SC, I got an excellent smooth, close, and nick free shave. I finished with Fine Platinum.

I had a most bodacious shave today (I watched Bill & Ted last night, which is where "bodacious" comes from). I like french soaps, and Pre de Provence is one that I like a lot. Great lather and extreme slickness is the usual when I use this. 3 passes and BBS for Monday morning.

The gem stainless has held up for 5 shaves so far - a record for me. I will use it again tomorrow and if this particular blade can go 6 shave I will assume this brand can reliably go 4 shave on my face. I haven't had any blade so far that could reliably go 4 shaves, so I am hoping.

Comfortable, smooth shave. I like how the mild Feather razor pairs with the very sharp Feather blade. Mike's Soap performed well, as expected.

The Barlow Wedge I picked up in an antique shop in Canyonville Oregon about three years ago. It is a true wedge and in original condition and this razor is one of my four best antique razors. The Tiki 7 Seas SS and the Draggon Noir are a great pairing. Outstanding shave this morning.

 

I'm using the Arko Citrus cream this week, it's a fantastic latherer. It has a real light citrus scent.
