It is - the Noxema works as a great face wash and beard softener in the shower and I use it with my last cold water splash to calm things down and clean off shave soap. Then the Alum Block - let dry and finally my favorite aftershave of the day. Today I shaved with a brand new Open Comb Symmetry and a AP Astra blade. I got an amazingly close shave but needed to do two applications of the post biz to soothe my in shock face. Lol!
+1 Yes, I'd also recommend Witch Hazel. Thayer's Alcohol Free with Aloe or good old generic or Dickinson's . Soothing!
Yep. It took me a few tries to get the amount right. I literally use a pea size of the USB, rub it in my wet hands then go to the face. I use the East African SB; much easier to apply.
hot water rinse to wash off soap cold water rinse to close pours apply very tiny amount of Nivea sensitive post shave balm to wet face, which I allow to air dry finish with after shave splash of the day. Florida water is a usually easy to find locally( drug, grocery stores) after shave. I like the smell a lot myself, but it doesn't last long...
I do, cold water and alum block, then choose. In the summer I like more after shaves and splashes. I will use Fine, Aqua Velva or something like that. I will often follow up with some Biotherm Homme. On days where I want a little more moisture, I will use a balm, like the available everywhere Nivea for men balm. In the deep of winter I like Arko classic kreme, which has a wxiness to it, and will protect your face from harsh winds.
I do a cool water splash to remove any remaining cream/soap. I then apply a mixture of Osage Rub/Thayer's Witch Hazel with aloe and a dash or two of Sage essential oil. After dry down, I use which ever A/S or cologne I want that day.
Anyone ever try the Razorock wax balm? Sounds interesting and I was wondering if I could get an opinion before I purchase. Thanks!
