Brush- Plisson synthetic

Razor- Gillette slim adjustable (3)

Blade- Astra SP

Post- Cold water rinse, Old Spice whitewater and Nivea aftershave balm

I felt like a cold shave today =) Proraso provides very nice and protective lather. I really like it!

Performed 3 passes. 2 WTG and 1 half XTG. I dont want to irritate the skin more than needed. Thats Why Im only going WTG, the XTG pass is for some spots with stubborn stubble =)

Third shave with the Gillette slim and a very successful shave. Im really starting to like this razor =D



Also: I test lathered Razorock Classic soap and applied to face after I shaved. I didnt get the burning and redness as during my last shave. So Im happy Im not allergic to this soap. BUT Im gonna try it again another day to dubble check

Saved by Mastro Livi Travel Loom Strop​

This morning I found out this Dovo Bismarck was pulling a little and it was not so comfortable. After all, I honed this razor the day I received it as a gift and - although they said it was sold as shave ready - it truly needed proper honing. It was about one year ago. When I am traveling I always bring with me my lovely Mastro Livi Travel Loom Strop which perfectly fits in my bag. All I needed to do was to spread Mastro Livi chromium oxide stick on the loom strop, do about ten laps on the razor and this gave me a very good and sharp edge. Ready to shave!​

First shave with this Tech and it was not as expected, I guess the bigger handle makes the difference. This mornings shave was much better with the fat handle Tech, somewhat more efficient.

The comparative thickness of the blades may have something to do with their performance. The Feather is a thin blade, the Kai is a sturdy slab of steel. Love the look of them, no printing on blade. I prefer them to Feathers, too bad they cost more.

I've often found that these kind of late night excursions comes with a price...a very big price, one that you may not be willing to pay. (I love the rhetoric!) Very Boogie!

The Frosted Woodland is getting close to being a reality. The temps here are getting lower and lower in the morning these past few days. Unfortunately, the daytime temps are still in the mid nineties making a temp swing of 40 - 50 degrees. The Lime Sec if very refreshing and seems to go with the Frosted Woodland SC very well.

Hi di ho Friends,

today´s shave was outstanding. After a very relaxing, hot bubble bath i used the follwoing equipment:

-Soap: Calani Bay Rum
-Brush: HJM Black Synthetic Fibre
-Blade: Personna Lab Blue
-Razor: Apollo Slant from the late 1930´s (NOS)
-Aftershave: CH Pitralon



Wooooohoooooooo.... i think there´s a new sheriff in town...the Apollo Slant. It is an item on loan, which i will buy definetly from the member. It shaves better than my 39c. More gently and thouroughly. That is possible... It is from the end 30´s so it has a little bit of history in the background (and it´s NOS). Loaded with a Personna Lab Blue it was a fantastic shave. After the shave my Swiss Pitralon had the privilege to enjoy my skin. Wonderfull stuff!!! The smell, the skinfeel, almost everything on this water is stunning. If you have the chance to buy it, DO IT!!!
