Monday Prep: wash with Clear Essentials glycerin soap Soap: Petal Pusher Fancies "Scentsless" Brush: Whipped Dog synthetic Razor: Gillette Tech Blade: Kai After: Cold rinse, CeraVe lotion The Whipped Dog synthetic performed well. The tips are very soft, but the fibers have a fairly strong springy backbone. It reminds me more of a well broken-in boar brush that a badger. Loads up soaps easily, face lathers great. Today I transferred a Kai blade with 3 shaves on it from my Feather razor to this lovely 1953 Gillette Tech. I'm going on vacation in a few days and I am planning to carry a small shave kit with the Tech. I was curious how a Kai blade would pair with it. I'm going to be away from civilization and I didn't want to make a poor blade choice. The Kai blade performed very well in the Tech, which I expected since the Feather razor and the Tech are similar in their mildness. Day 4 on the blade felt great.
SOTD Monday 9-8-2014 5/8 Joseph Rodgers Wedge, Hollow Point Proraso PSC La Toja Classic SC Georgetown Scuttle Omega Pro Barbershop Boar Dickinson's Witch Hazel Gold Bond Moisturizing Lotion Pinaud Clubman Special Reserve ASL A great shave to start another busy day. I really enjoy the Wedges and the way they silently do their business; a smooth swipe and the whiskers are no more! Hooked up with the La Toja again this morning....I am making a note to use this great SC more in the future. Have a great week Gentlemen!

Good shave. First time trying the Cold River Soap Works. Great scent, but I need to work on my lather building a bit. We have really hard water, so super and uber lathers whip up well, but still struggling a little with just soaps and creams. Ok. So the Apple brush is to celebrate the new iPhone launch this week? Does that give us a hint of your next phone?
Monday: hot shower w/A La Maison de Provence Rosemary Mint bar soap Maggard Eucalyptus PSO Gillette SuperSpeed 2+ passes SuperMax Titanium (2) Donut boar Proraso Green in a warm mug Thayers unscented w/aloe Wm Neumann Peppermint Clove AS (sample) Very nice and smooth shave. I've acquired enough SuperSpeed razors that I actually had trouble deciding which one to use today. First time with the Peppermint Clove AS today from my Wm Neumann sampler and it has a very nice feel unfortunately I don't care for clove scent. Have a great week, fellow shavers.
How do you like that PSO? I've only used Shave Secret and Taconic so far and wondering what to try next.
Brush: Whipped Dog 30/45 Silvertip Razor: Merkur 34c HD 2014 Blade: Feather (2) Mug: Old Spice (late glass Mug 04) mid 1970s to 1992 Cream: TOBS Coconut Post shave: Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel, Neutrogena balm Pinaud Clubman Went with my first DE the Merkur 34c HD, it shaves so well. Just right combo with a Feather. Great lather from the TOBS in the OS mug and the WD Silvertip. What a brush, soft on the skin with warm coconut lather, y'all can keep the cold. WTG XTG on my face and neck ATG on my neck and upper lip. Let the blade do the work with a light touch, and let it sing. Nice DFS! Splash of Thayers cucumber WH and Neutrogena Balm and after clean up some Pinaud Clubman and off to grab the day. Enjoy yours!
I don't think you'll find a better value in PSO's than Maggard's. I use ShaveSecret, Taconic, Somersets, Maggards, and homemade. Maggard offers a sampler of all their PSO's and that's where I started. Eventually I'll have full size bottles of all their flavors.

Don, I think you gave me an idea for my shave tomorrow morning. The Glacial Lemon Chill's such a delightfully-frigid soap which I love so much.
