I really enjoy the audio feedback from the razor. I turn everything off and just enjoy the whole process. Im an evening shaver so it helps me unwind before bed.
Normally, I just listen to the white noise/ringing in my ears that follows me everywhere. Besides that, it is all quiet in the morning.
Our cabin is on the Truckee river and the sound it, alongside the morning birdsong, is just about perfection. Oddly enough, I enjoy opening the window and letting it all in year-round, which is a habit the better-half hasn't yet fully embraced...
I listen to the feedback of my razor and the sound of it swishing around in the sink as I rinse it off.
That's pretty nice. I like that it does SSB and covers the hf amateur bands. Have you ever used it to listen to the ham bands? I'm curious as to how it works if you have.
I just listen to the shave ... Being new at straight razor shaving I need all the feedback I can get ... Sight, touch, sound, taste: to know I got shaving cream in my mouth again HA... And of course smell ... Lot of senses in play I guess... Never really thought about it like that. 6th sense - working on it
It depends on the mood. Sometimes nothing, most of the time it's my Daughters running around outside of my door.
Taste? Shave Soap? I thought that was only a lame threat from my Mum (a looong time ago). Maybe you should try shaving MINUS the taste bit
I have used it to listen to everything it can receive. It's a great radio. I've had it and the Tecsun PL-600 for a couple of years. I've mainly just used the whip antenna, but I have clipped a longwire on to it to mess around with. For the compact size, it's probably the best worldband radio I've owned. Highly recommended if you're looking for a small radio. It also gets great battery life.
I listen to baroque classical music at a reduced volume so I can hear the beard reduction while I'm shaving.
