    Brush: Van Der Hagen Badger
    Razor: Gillette FB (f1) 1960 (5)
    Blade: Feather (1)
    Mug: Van Der Hagen
    Cream: Cella
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel, Jack Black gel, Old Spice original Shulton 1980 AS (gift from my father in law)

FB still on 5 as it has been working great for me. The VDH Badger whipped up some nice lather in the VDH mug. Another nice acceptable shave in 2 passes WTG XTG and then 1 pass ATG on my neck. Splash of WH, cleanup, Jack Black gel and some OS and it's off to the shooting range with my family. You know what they say in Texas, "The family that shoots together stays together"!

Welcome to the Den, and choosing a Gillette Adjustable as your first Vintage razor. Be warned, it will be difficult to use anything else IMHO. Enjoy the ride!:happy088:

    Cool shower
    Prep: Homemade PSO
    Brush: Simpsons Duke 3
    Soap: Cella
    Razor: Merkur 38C
    Blade: Derby (3)
Aftershave: Ogallala Bay Rum with Limes and Peppercorns

The combination of Cella and the Duke produced surprisingly weak lather this morning. I don't know if I added too little/much water, but my results were bubbly, thin, and dissipated quickly. Throw in a Derby blade that is far from my favorite, and you get a challenging shave. I gave up after my lather did, at two passes and settled for a CCS. And that's being generous only because I did not open any nicks or weepers. I'm hoping for better luck tomorrow.

Thanks Obi! It is actually a lather Mug that came as a set. There is a brush and trac II razpr with it. See the photo below:

The ship design is copied on to all three pieces. It's pretty hard to photograph this without a glare from the flash but you get the idea. ;)

Thanks for the birthday wishes. A ride would have been very nice, but instead I spent the day with my family. As much as I love riding, I love spending time with my family even more. Besides, I have a solo trip to the mountains in a couple of weeks.
