O.K. I am going to discuss the rules here and only here.

The Lightning Round will be open for any member (including moderators) who has been active on this site from Dec 10, 2010 (the date of my first post) until Sep 1, 2014 (the date of my 10,000 post). That means if you have been a member any time during that period, you are able to enter with one exception! If you have received a PIF from me in the past you are not able to enter!

Now this contest is going to have a few interesting concepts thrown in and you will be able to talk it out on this thread and entries will be on an entry only thread.

NOW ABOUT THE PRIZES:

GRAND PIF - Restored e-Shave handle with 20 mm TGN Silvertip Badger knot with a loft at 50 mm and a stick of Palmolive.

SECOND PIF - Restore antique red crushed Lucite brush (black swirls) with a 24 mm Virginia Sheng Badger Knot with a loft at 54 mm and a stick of La Toja.

THIRD PIF - Cadet 3 Piece DE razor and Vintage Wilkinson Sword Classic Blades.

Now for those of you who participated in the past two contests and did not receive the PIF, you will be rewarded with chances earned in those PIF and also if you desire an additional chance in the Lighting Round.

For those who did not participate in either one of the earlier rounds you may earn one chance in the Lighting Round.

Notice that you can add one more chance. For those with points you can sit out and your points transfer or you can play the Lighting Round to add another point. This list will be updated at the end of the entry period. For those who wish to try that are not on the list you can get in. There are spaces available.

YOU MUST FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS TO THE LETTER.

1. WHEN I POST THE PIF ENTRY THREAD YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO CONTACT ME FOR ANY REASON ABOUT THE LIGHTNING ROUND POSTS, RULES, OR METHODS. IF YOU DO YOU WILL BE ELIMINATED FROM THE ENTIRE CONTEST WHETHER YOU HAVE POINTS COMING IN TO THE LIGHTNING ROUND OR NOT. NO PMs OR QUESTIONS ARE TO DIRECTED TO ME IN THIS THREAD, THE ENTRY THREAD, OR ANY OTHER THREAD OR POST.

2. YOU MAY DISCUSS THE RULES AND METHODS AMONG YOURSELVES ON THIS THREAD.

3. ON THE PIF ENTRY THREAD YOU MAY ONLY MAKE YOUR ENTRY. NO OTHER DISCUSSION OR ITEMS ARE ALLOWED.

4. YOU MAY ONLY MAKE ONE ENTRY. IF YOU HAVE TWO ENTRIES OR POSTS (EMPTY OR FULL) YOU WILL BE ELIMINATED FROM THE ENTIRE CONTEST.

5. YOU MUST GO TO THE FOLLOWING WEB SITE AND ONLY THIS SITE TO GAIN THE ENTRY PICTURES. THE IMAGES MAY NOT BE THUMBNAIL SIZED. PLEASE USE FULL SIZE.

6. YOU MUST SELECT AND COPY ONE AND ONLY ONE PHOTO FROM THIS SITE TO THE PIF ENTRY SITE. IT MUST BE A TRADITIONAL SHAVING ITEM (NO ELECTRIC RAZORS OR GENERAL BATH SOAP). RAZORS, FRAGRANCES, CREAMS, SOAPS, BRUSHES ARE ALLOWED.

7. WHEN YOU ATTACH THE IMAGE UNDERNEATH IT YOU MUST TYPE IN THE DECADE AND THE PAGE NUMBER OF THE DECADE YOU PULLED THE PICTURE FROM.

8. IF YOU DUPLICATE A PICTURE THAT SOMEONE ELSE HAS USED, YOU WILL NOT GAIN A POINT IN THE LIGHTNING ROUND BUT PRIOR POINTS REMAIN IN PLAY.

9. I WILL POST THE PIF ENTRY THREAD NO LATER THAN TUESDAY EVENING (9/23) AT AN INDETERMINATE TIME AND THIS PIF WILL END ON FRIDAY AT 7:00 PM US CDT. I WILL PROVIDE A LINK TO THE ENTRY PIF THREAD ON THIS THREAD WHEN IT IS OPEN.

10. LASTLY THE POINTS WILL BE TABULATED AND THOSE WHO HAVE MORE THAN ONE POINT WILL HAVE MORE THAN ONE ENTRY UP TO THREE ENTRIES. THE DRAWING WILL BE MADE BY USING RANDOM.ORG FOR THE GRAND PIF FIRST. THE PERSON WHO IS SELECTED WILL HAVE 24 HOURS FROM THE TIME OF THE DRAWING TO CLAIM THEIR PIF OR THEY ARE ELIMINATED FROM THE ENTIRE CONTEST. IF THE PIF IS UNCLAIMED THAT PERSON IS ELIMINATED FROM THE LIST COMPLETELY AND A NEW DRAWING FOR THAT PIF WILL OCCUR. THE PERSON WHO IS SELECTED WILL HAVE 24 HOURS FROM THE TIME OF THE DRAWING TO CLAIM THEIR PIF OR THE SAME FATE HAPPENS. ONE THE GRAND PIF IS TAKEN, THE SECOND PIF WILL FOLLOW THE SAME PATTERN AND THE THIRD PIF WILL ALSO FOLLOW.

NOW THAT IS WHAT I CALL MULTIPLE WAYS THAT LIGHTNING CAN STRIKE IN THIS ROUND!
