DIY bowl

    I might have to try a horn bowl! My plastic bowl works for no but I might want ceramic or horn. Maybe horn since I have toddlers.

    Horn is certainly less fragile than ceramic.

    Is horn porous? does it take on the scents of the shave soaps? OR is horn usually coated with something?

    I don't think it is coated with anything. Mine doesn't seem to have absorbed a scent.

    Cool, the polishing of the horn must effectively seal the surface then. Thanks for the info.

    I did not know that horns came wide enough to become a bowl.
    A mug perhaps. But a bowl?
    Must be from a huge cow - or bull.

    I listen to podcast about wet shaving and host mentioned a "salsa" bowl. I found them at Wal-Mart. $1.50 they come in few different colors. They are made of a tough plastic and are perfect sive. I got a black one and it is awesome. :happy005:
