Ah, my man, I have thrown a curve ball. For the next three days ... I'm getting my kicks ... with Japanese Schicks!
Uh...I think you may have been duped. It is unlikely that a package manufactured in 1969 would have a barcode. Of course, I've been wrong before.
Their use has spread to many other tasks that are generically referred to as automatic identification and data capture (AIDC). The very first scanning of the now ubiquitous Universal Product Code (UPC) barcode was on a pack of Wrigley Company chewing gum in June 1974.

Shave of the day Pre- Hot shower Soap/cream- Haslinger schafmilk Brush- The body shop Synthetic Razor- Schick dial(5) Blade- Schick injector blade(2) Post- Cold water rinse, Speick for men and Nivea aftershave balm Second shave with a Schick. I was very careful again so I didn't cut myself, I had it on 5 today(3 yesterday). It went a bit better. I managed to get a irritation free shave today too, but I really don't know about these blades. They are a bit tuggy. I think I will get some new blades and try them in it. But I feel like I wanna concentrate on mastering the technique with DE and my MMOC before committing to my Schick. I might put it on the shelf for now. I will decide after I try the other blades I'm planning to buy=)
Really? I'm not having a lot of luck with them either =( I'm not getting the results and performance everyone talks about
The ones in your picture are pretty old, right around 40 years old or so, and I don't believe they have any kind of coating on the edge to make them smoother. Plus, if they've been stored in real humid conditions that can affect their sharpness. I have some and they really don't perform all that great. Some of the other vintage Schick blades are platinum/Teflon coated and are some of the best blades around provided they haven't been stored in an extreme environment. There are also vintage coated Personna blades that are very good as well. Don't give up on the injectors until you try some new blades, they are so much better than the old ones you're using. The new Personna blades are good, but I much, much prefer the modern Schick blades that are made in China.
Oh, i had no idea, thanks for the info. I didn't know I was using a 40 year old blade, it's kind of cool. I got these blades with the razor and I had to try it =D I got 20 blades from Connaughtshaving for 5£ I will of course try it =) but I really want to concentrate on my DE shaving and finding more blades that work well. So far I have Astra SP =)
