I'm a little late posting my SOTD today, but I had a fantastic shave. I can't believe I got my 11th shave out of the same blade today. I'm sure I could get #12 if I wanted, but I'm going to retire this blade. It's just as smooth as it was on the first day, but I can tell it's getting dull. There's not any pulling or anything, but it takes more passes now to shave than it did when the blade was new.

    Have a great day!

    SATURDAY
    Evening Shave for Saturday
Newly-honed Joseph Rodgers taken for a spin. I had two new honing stones to try out on it: the Chosera bevel-setter & the Apache Strata finisher (pictured below).
This razor gave me fits the first time I honed it (it still had the heel hook, plus its thick spine & shoulder, and a big smiley blade). Fortunately, this time was a bit easier (heel reduced).
Overall, a very smooth shave—probably the smoothest I've had using this challenging razor. A wickedly-sharp edge, but smooth on the face. I survived to shave another day! ;)
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Man, I really love this Frost_byte soap - it's definitely my second coldest after my Glacials. It's so easy to lather up, in fact just a few swirls in the bowl and my face was buried in rich, thick freezing-cold lather. The scent has also grown on me and the skincare is also darned good as well. The Gold Bond moisturizer is so cooling and soothing so it's great for sensitive skin. I don't think the Rubby Dubby Doo needs too much of an explanation because it's one of the finest aftershaves on the market. Hey, my Sharp blade is still working great. Let's see how it does tomorrow. Today's shave was awesome! ;) :D

    Saturn's Day:

    Prep:
Hot shower, Neutrogena Deep Cleaning Gentle Scrub Cleanser, TSD Jasmine Sambac Preshave balm
    Brush: Beeline Boar
    Cream: Speick
    Razor: FaTip Piccolo OC
    Blade: Bolzano Superinox (5)
    Passes: WTG, XTG (10, 11)
Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma Alum, Dickinson's WH, Speick AS splash
    Cologne: Xeryus by Givenchy

The VDH Deluxe I mean, Beeline Boar seems like it should be broken in by now, but it's still pretty skritchy, and is now starting to shed. The Speick was thick, slick, and refreshing, though not quite as voluminous as it has been in weeks past. I could feel the Bolzano's age, as it started to tug noticeably by the XTG pass, which contributed to my stopping at only 2 passes. DFS+ results, though with some burn from the blade, which is now retired.

1st shave with the vegan Tiki Captain today. I like the “pipe smoke” type scent! 20 seconds to load for a great lather. 6th go with the Vintage Gillette Spoiler SS in my NEW SC. Another excellent smooth, close, nick free shave. I finished with Azzaro.

    Shave of the day, OCtober

Pre- Hot shower, Bulldog original face wash

Soap/cream- Mitchells wool fat and Florena shave cream

    Brush- Omega boar 10810

    Razor- Gem micromatic open comb

    Blade- Gem stainless steel(4)

Post- Cold water rinse, Speick aftershave and Nivea aftershave balm

Ok shave today. I'm getting a bit annoyed because I keep needing to rescue the shave with another soap or cream when I try to shave with MWF.

I know this soap is a great performer and has good skin care, so this might become a daily driver someday. But I keep getting dissipating or dry lather, when I feel it could be good... It's not.

I added Florena to the lather, didn't clean the brush to keep the properties that's good for the skin from the MWF and got an OK shave, maybe I need to put the Open comb down for a week =P

Look at that lather! =) that's when I mixed in the Florena of course

Nice shave this morning. I'm starting to like this knot. I haven't decided to try and get a couple more mm out of it but it's a good face lathering brush. The only problem is that I've been obsessed with boars for quite a while. Have a good one.
